"I've had a good experience for our regular exams for our two cats. Easy to schedule appointments over the phone and every visit has been smooth. One of our cats is very difficult to work with since she gets very scared and violent, but they handled her with grace."
"The Doctors and everyone of the staff has been extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful and helpful throughout the times that I have been needing assistance for care for my kitty Meow and I will continue to have the needs for the care of my 10 year old kitty for all of his needs there. I’m very grateful for all the help they have been for me."
"My advice to potential new patients is to stay away from this clinic due to the rude, irresponsible, and uncooperative office staff that caused me incur in thousands of dollars of additional expenses due to their negligence (details below). Based on either reviews, they will probably block me / deny the situation but please don't take your pet here if you love them. I took my dog to Midtown Veterinary in late November to obtain a USDA health certificate for international travel (trip to visit family for ~10 weeks) - this process is very time sensitive as the USDA requires the certificate to be issued as early as two weeks before travel and at least three business days before travel to allow them to review and approve. My appointment with Midtown Veterinary was booked with ample time to meet this requirement, and all of my pets health records were provided at the moment of booking. Unfortunately, the initial scheduling was the only thing that went well. During our first (and only appointment), the Veterinarian informed me that my dog needed to have her ears cleaned as she might have an ear infection, and told me I needed a follow up appointment to check on her ear infection and that they would issue the certificate then - I reminded the office staff that this was a very time sensitive process and that I couldn't change my travel accommodations, so the office agreed to meet me one week before my travel. The day of my pet's follow up appointment (6 business days before travel), the office staff called to say that they needed to reschedule my appointment because the veterinarian had "called in sick". I once again reminded them about the deadlines and asked up front if they would be able to meet the deadlines if I should look into a different clinic - despite this the staff scheduled me for later in the week and promised to get the paperwork ready by then. On the day of the now rescheduled follow up, (3 business days before travel), the office staff once again called asking me to reschedule the appointment because "something came up". At this point, I warned them that the deadline to submit the documentation was today, and that we couldn't reschedule - to this, they suggested that I drop off my pet at their facility at the time of the appointment and to pick up my pet up once they finished off. I drove to the facility and upon arrival noticed that the doors were locked, with a sign stating that the office was "short-staffed" and to call their number to have them open up. I called multiple times and waited for over 30 minutes, but nobody picked up or opened the door - at that point I decided to leave a voicemail and leave. I didn't hear back from the clinic until late in the afternoon of the following day, and instead of assuming responsibility for what happened, they decided to excuse themselves and justify their behavior (and blamed COVID-19 even though we're almost in 2024 and we're long past the point were business operations are easily disrupted by the pandemic). After a short exchange when I expressed my frustration over what happened, they hung up on me without an apology. As a result of Midtown Veterinary Hospital's negligence, unprofessional behavior, and outright dishonesty, I needed to change my travel plans (>$1K in ticket-change fees / higher travel cost) and find accommodations for my pet (>$2K for ~10 weeks). If you love your pet, please don't take them here."
"UPDATE: The vet decided to remove our pet as a patient due to this review. The actual veterinarian does the medical tasks well. The rest of the staff is atrocious, and that’s truly what matters most of the time. If the staff surrounding the vet changed, my views would be different. Most of the front of house is disorganized. Poor scheduling, palpable annoyance from the other end of the phone, and no follow-up on requests for receipts or records. Depending on who answers the phone (if you can ever get in touch with them), you could get wildly different answers for your questions, even for something as simple as appointment availability. Vet techs do not check medical records ahead to cross-reference if the appointment scheduled makes sense for the pet. For example, I schedule a rabies appointment with no exam. What I get is the following: (1) I show up and the vet gives an exam. Apparently you can’t have the vaccine without exam, which is fine, but the front staff didn’t communicate that. (2) the vet tech is trying to give my cat a DIFFERENT vaccine that she is already up to date on. I dissent and show her records. (3) That tech leaves and another tech comes in trying to do the same thing, wrong vaccine! (4) Billing has surprises. Additional charges for things never requested, like flea and tick medication, some kind of screening meant for homes with multiple cats (we only have one cat). You leave ultimately feeling like you had to manage their office yourself and questioning what actually happened to your pet."
"The annual check-up for my cat was outstanding. The veterinarian was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly caring and patient with my feline friend. They took the time to explain every aspect of the examination and made me feel at ease throughout the process. The value for the services rendered was excellent. I left the clinic feeling confident about my cat's health and knowing that I received comprehensive care without breaking the bank."
