"It is difficult to get appointments in an timely manner even for established patients. They do offer services that other vets do not but often these appointments take months before being seen and follow-up appointments for these types of services can take weeks to get back in. When your furry friend has a injury or a condition timely appointments are critical. I do like it is a "fear free" practice and the techs are kind. After being a client there for quite some time while they are competent, I don't see how they are provide better service or better quality of care than other vets. I actually found their prices to be inflated by compassion and they are not a pet insurance friendly place. I have had many cats and dogs over my 30 adult years on the ranch and have visited many Animal Hospitals and this place, which was highly recommended, left me wanting. After about 30 appointments over a few years I consistently felt the front desk staff was unwelcoming and not warm or kind to the animals being seen, and they were not warm or kind to their parents they were just indifferent. I just expected more."
"I've been taking my dogs to the Whole Pet Vet from very early in the establishment of the practice. The team is very knowledgeable and fantastic with sports dogs. My most recent dog was diagnosed early in her life with hip and elbow dysplasia. She's not the easiest dog to examine and handle. I guess I wouldn't like poking and prodding either if I was dealing with chronic pain. The staff has been so kind and understanding with her. The practice follows the protocols for fear free pet handling bearing their own personal safety in mind. As a result, we've been able to provide my not so easy to examine dog with a lot of therapeutic interventions to manage her dysplasia. The practice integrates a number of advanced modalities into her care ranging from pharmaceuticals, stem cell therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage therapy. The team of professionals has served her well and given her the ability to move as pain free as possible to enjoy and perform at the highest levels of a variety of scentwork sports."
"We love the team of compasionate and wonderful women and vet techs who give the best care to our pets. They are all good listeners and take time to answer questions. We have taken our pets to whichever vet is available and always had a positive experience. Hence we continue to go all the way here because my fearful, shy dog does very well wirh the vets and vet teachs. The place is run in an organized manner and not chaotic like other vet offices. We love having access to holistic vets who understand the big picture and it's great to have accupuncture and chiropractic services all in the same place. They vets take time and give you personal attention and you get to go in and have a room to yourself and your pet. The best part is unlike a lot of vets, they're not trying to sell you flea/tick medication, vaccines, and keep pumping your let's with whatever is recommended on paper. I like they they give us the information and leave us to make well informed choices. They are open and knowledgeable about the latest science and hence take time to understand and then make recommendations. This is why we continue to go far to access their services."
"I recently took my dog here looking for an alternative/ holistic approach. Dr Wheeler was helpful and caring, and she answered a lot of my questions while providing insights about holistic medicine. Overall a great experience, but I will say is definitely in the expensive side. For consultation alone it was $300 and that’s not counting supplements and medicine which was another $200. This place is great for people looking for holistic medicine, acupuncture and more. Definitely recommend"
"We have been taking the dogs and cats to WPV for years. They have a wonderful office staff and the vets are the best I have ever had. Dr Wheeler sees the boys, Chip and Cooper, havanese and bichon since they were puppies. Dr Lee deals with the kitties and has been taking care of them for 10 yrs. I can’t say enough about all of the vets in the office. They are all wonderful and do everything possible to keep everyone health. You can’t go wrong if you take your pet to them."
