"This was our first time with Modern Animal and we had such a great experience. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival we were offered coffee and water. Kusama was very nervous at first, this was his first time outside of the house, as he isn't allowed in public just yet because of his vaccines. When the vet assistant came in at first, she greeted him with treats to make him feel comfortable. They even recommended us bring him by any time to visit to make him feel more comfortable when he visits for exams. We were very pleased with this visit."

"Saturday, 1/6/2024, was my very first visit to Modern Animal (MA) (my dog has most frequently been to El Cerrito Vet), and I was thoroughly impressed. Modern Animal delivers the kind of vet care I have been seeking ever since I adopted my furbaby, Nola. From the professional staff at the front desk to the vet tech (Tatiana) to the vet (Dr. Marion), every interaction Nola and I had was exceptional. I was greeted immediately upon entering and asked if I'd like something to drink. They knew who we were (!) and asked us to have a seat. Within a few minutes, the tech, Tatiana, came to escort us into the exam room. She was professional, friendly, and had a wonderful bedside manner. She explained how the appointment would go, she knew what concerns we wanted to be addressed, and while she spoke to me about Nola, Dr. Marion came into the room. She, too, was professional, friendly, and had a wonderful bedside manner. She'd reviewed all of the medical records I'd sent over prior to the appointment and was completely up to speed on Nola's background before she entered the room. She asked me if I had concerns she could address during my visit, which I shared, and she was willing to answer every question. She performed a nose-to-tail exam and recommended tests while also telling me what was encouraged vs. what was probably necessary. Tatiana took the time to itemize the tests and the costs associated with each. They also encourage fur parents to be present when exams and tests are being done if they are comfortable doing so. I found this heartening. Transparency is of the utmost importance to them, and I appreciate that very much. I decided to schedule this appointment as a "pay-as-you-go" appointment because I wanted to make sure this was a place and these were people I could trust with my Nola. I was so impressed that I signed up for the yearly membership before leaving. They were even able to apply the members-only discounts to my visit, which saved me a nice chunk of change! The Berkeley MA location is conveniently located off I-80, and there is free 3-hour parking on the same block. The lot even has designated EV parking. At 3:30 pm on a Saturday, I was able to find a parking space easily as there were multiple parking spaces available. I have nothing but positive things to say about this MA location. I can't believe I waited so long to bring Nola here!"

"We just had our first visit, What an elevated veterinarian experience!!! We were greeted by name by the front desk, and after 2 minutes of waiting, we walked to the room where the doctor and assistant were waiting for us. Amazing visit overall and even left with a goody bag for our puppy. Highly recommend!"
