"This is a comprehensive program with caring and knowledgeable staff. Our teen was helped through feelings of low self esteem, anxiety and depression when individual counseling wasn't working. There is also weekly support for parents. The combination of group therapy, learning different techniques for dealing with emotions and conflict, family sessions, parent classes and individual therapy and medication management all worked together to help improve our situation and our teens mental health. It seems like a lot but it's a worthwhile commitment. It was nice to feel supported!"

"This service literally saved our family. My daughter was having alot of difficulties adjusting to Middle School and her ADHD was really affecting her ability to concentrate in class, and interact with other kids. In working their process we developed better coping and communications skills as a family and my Daughter has really blossumed. She is much better behaved, and has a real set of coping tools to deal with lifes challenges. We are still working with her to improve her grades, and motivate her to do more physical activity, but i have to say it's like we have a new kid. They program is very holistic. So it's not just the kid that grows its the family. Lastly, they also do medication management which ended up being almost as important as the counseling.I can't recommend them enough!"

The therapists use the most up-to-date and effective therapeutic approaches including music therapy, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral techniques. "We were referred to SoCal Adolescent Wellness Center by our daughter's individual therapist. She needed a higher level of care and the intensive outpatient program they have for adolescents (after school 3 days a week for 3 hours/day) was very good and just what we needed. The program includes family sessions as well, which were some of the most helpful and valuable counseling sessions we have ever had as a divorced family. Our daughter's attitude improved, our communication is better and she just seems happier. There are not a lot of programs like this, so I am so happy we were referred to it. It is a small group and the kids get a lot of personal attention and involvement. The therapists specialize in and really "get" adolescents and their particular needs and developmental/behavioral issues. Highly recommended."
