Reviews
"There really weren’t too many reviews for Brian Whitley which I found interesting after our most recent experience. This may help others as I felt it was necessary to post a review based on my wife and my experience with Brian. What we quickly learned was he can quickly fall off his own tracks when operating with his own advised terms related to his expectations on how he operates within his office environment. We experienced Brian’s inability to maintain patience, where he became short minded and unable to properly maintain reason with his own positioning. On day one he advised he would never ask us to operate in a certain manner. On day 2 of our 1 hour session he completely went against all he advised. We we’re not impressed to say the least. What else was not impressive, In Short, Brian works off a textbook style therapist training effort that i’m sure he learned through some sort of licensing class to get that piece of paper to work as a therapist. He is not a PhD though did study psychology in college for what ever that is worth. He uses a textbook form of therapy where you answer questions on paper, And then you review them as if you were going to class. My wife and I both had a bad experience with Brian expectations within our very first two visits. Visit 1 he explained he will work Within certain parameters, and will not break free of those parameters in consideration to the importance of us all working together. In session 2, Brian was not able to maintain his own advice, and pretty much fell off his own tracks taking a position that was a far stretch from the original guarantee within which we agreed to work in In fact, he become somewhat stubborn in his position to not even clearly see he was working outside of what he promised he would work within. He was challenged to see his own weakness within his own working environment. He failed to follow his own rules, and then could not admit to falling off his own tracks as we tried to address this weakness on his behalf with zero resolve For this, we could not continue to work with such an individual that could not hold true to his own promises. What I found interesting during all this while in this second session was Brian was quick to want to stop talking and was more hyper focused on assuring he was getting paid prior to ending our session than actually focusing on the professional task at hand. It was strange almost as if he was worried we would not pay him for his time. More worried About the money than the issue at hand. Bottom line. If you want basic text book help, fill out his questions and forms and talk about what you wrote down style counseling, you’re going to get it, though from our experience he may fall off his own tracks and waver in different directions. Keep in mind, this type of therapy you can get for free at your church or with apps online. If you want someone that can handle a little tension in the room and can stay on point when you would expect a professional in his position to do, well, from our experience. Brian wasn’t the one to handle such. Not with himself and not with his couple he was help."
"Incredible therapist who has helped change the course of my marriage and life. Listens with compassion but doesn’t let you spiral. Gives you real, tangible tools to improve whatever it is you’re working on."
"He was best therapist ever"
"Brian is absolutely fantastic. I spent a 10 week program working through my troubles and negative mindset with him, and I can say his sessions have wholly changed my life for the better and given me a much brighter outlook on life in general. From the various approaches he employed to the little bits of homework for me to reflect on various aspects of my life, I can't recommend him enough!"
