Reviews
"General manger Gilbert (black hair and glasses) uses personal information in the 24 hour system to stalk and harass members. Don’t sign up for 24 hour fitness if you’re expecting clean, respectful, service."
"I don't like giving people bad reviews. As a member of this gym, I was treated with rude words by the male manager of this gym. It happened on November 26. I didn't know the gym closed at 8:00pm on weekends, but I always thought it closed at 10:00pm. Because their name was 24hours fitness, there was no warning over the P.A. system about how many minutes were left before the gym closed. I was still in the shower room taking a shower, and suddenly I heard someone outside asking, "Is anyone in there?" At first I wasn't sure I was asking for the ladies' room, but then I replied, "Yes, there is someone, and after the shower I got dressed, and in the cold winter, I just put on pants and short sleeves, and I didn't put on a coat." They just want to come in and clean up, and they want to get out of work as soon as possible. He tried to enter the girls' locker room, and when the manager saw me, his attitude was extremely bad, and even his words were rude. I seriously suspect that this manager is a racist and discriminates against people of different races. He kicked me out multiple times and had a very bad attitude. At that time I had not put on my coat or organized the clothes in the cupboard. All my stuff and clothes were messed up in the cupboard and needed to be put in my backpack, and he didn't explain to me that the store closes at 8:00 pm on weekends. I think it is very important for managers to have better qualities. If there are not enough customers, how can business be good and how can there be job opportunities? Shouldn't Thanksgiving be celebrated during Thanksgiving? As a consumer, it feels terrible to be treated so rudely. I hope the relevant departments can manage and improve it well. When I asked the clerk, he gave me some confirmation of the time and explained it to me. I think the quality of store clerks is much better than that of managers. If I renew next time, I probably won't choose to be their member again. If you haven't become a 24 Hour Fitness member yet, please consider it carefully. If you don't want to be treated rudely Please join other gyms."
"I recently canceled my membership auto-renewal because of the poor management of young-adult members. Although the staff does their best, the prior manager focused on acquiring membership from high schoolers across the street once COVID restrictions began lifting. Now the place is between a rock and a hard place because a bunch of kids hangout there and act up, prompting adult clientele to complain about them. The staff doesn't want to kick out the kids bc they are friends with many of them and the location will lose a significant number of memberships. Sure the staff are not their parents, but after a while you got to make their parents babysit them or kick them out. In my opinion the dip in membership for a small period is worth it to clean up the gym culture and make your job easier too, but that's my opinion. I don't work there. I'm autistic and these kids don't understand when to stop annoying people. They wouldn't know I'm autistic unless they paid attention. That said, when something they do is just annoying for someone, it's actually 100x worse for me. One kid clapped in an irratic pattern while I was benching and he kept doing it once he saw that it physically bothered me. I tried to avoid these kids, but they manage to ruin my workout every couple of weeks to a month, so I decided to cancel my membership and invest in building out my garage gym."
"My high schooler enrolled here as they promised 3 months off and half off monthly fee thereafter. 4th month I saw the discounted monthly fee but also a $50 charge that I did not expect. Went to the fitness center and the guy at reception grinned like they pull this scam off all the time and told me it was an annual charge. One I was never told about and never agreed to. Won't give me a number to complain. Apparently they don't do phone calls, they just take your money whether you like it or not. Will be disputing with the credit card company. Shady operation"
"I will not return to this gym. The manager does not believe in making customers feel welcome and comfortable. He insists on my showing picture ID every time I enter, even though he has seen me many dozens of time. I listen to an audiobook and loud music makes it hard to hear. The manager churlishly responds to polite requests to lower the volume. His response it that this is a standard setting and he is "not required" to make accommodations. Very sad to 24hr fitness to drive away customers with poorly trained supervisory staff."
