"I mentioned that I was looking for a CBT specific therapist and John decided that if I saw a CBT focused therapist that he would no longer see me. He said he uses CBT techniques. I then asked for him to provide me with an email on the CBT and non CBT techniques that we were using in our sessions so that I could speak with my social worker and get advised medically. Upon this request, John sent me a text that said he was going to ‘excuse himself from my treatment’ without any further information. He seemingly blocked my number as to not receive my text nor calls looking for understanding. I hoped for more professionalism in communication on this issue and overall. I became very disappointed with John and his reluctance to provide me details on the treatment I received from him, especially in regards to CBT as this was the point of disconnection. He brought the subject up during the last two minutes of the session in which I was already in a state of emotional distress. We held several sessions while he was in his vehicle, one onscreen and one off screen in which he was unable to take any notes. If you see John, don’t ask him to provide any details on your treatment or he might discontinue treatment and do so while you’re in a crisis like he did with me."
