"Sadly I am posting this review of WSVC which I have used for my dogs care for almost 3 years. Recently I was out of town and while away I hired a house and pet sitter for my two small dogs. I left instructions for my sitter that if any concerns about my dogs arouse in my absence to contact my Vet Clinic. I also provided a note to the clinic stating I would be out of town during these certain dates and if any issues with my dogs arose, either my housesitter or my daughter would be contacting them for advice and care. Just 48 hours before I was due home my 9 year old poodle mix suddenly started dragging a hind leg and crying in pain. My sitter contacted me, I advised contact the clinic. He did. He was told the clinic had no time to see the dog and that he should contact again the next day at 8am ( they don't take calls prior to 8am) and they "might" be able to fit him in. They also advised him to give the dog a pain medication (gabapentin) I had on hand for use with my other (older) dog. The dog continued to deteriorate quickly and I then advised my sitter to take him to TruVet Emergency Hospital on Lakeville Highway. Soon after I spoke via phone with the emergency vet who said something was wrong and she wanted to do blood work and an ultrasound and start an IV. I agreed via cell phone while driving North on highway 395 toward Reno. About an hour or so later I got an update call saying the dog had continued to deteriorate and the ultrasound showed a large aortic blood clot. He had lost all use of his lower extremities and was dying. I had him put down immediately. I doubt Washington Square could have done anything for the dog as his situation was clearly terminal. But their approach that they had no time for a regular client's suddenly sick animal was incredibly disappointing. It was always difficult to book an appointment with them, usually the wait was a minimum of 2 weeks and actually more like 4 weeks. They now have a 4th vet in the practice. I fear instead of having a vet ready for the unexpected sick animal they will just fill her schedule with well-dog checks, vaccinations, and fecal exams. This vet practice, and all vet practices should have contingencies for same day urgent visits, and most especially for their regular clients. Of which I am no longer one."

"The staff, here, really cares and it shows. This is not our regular vet. We live in the next town over. We were in an urgent need for services when our vet, and many other local shops were closed. Washington Square made room for us and were very comforting in a difficult time. I can't thank them enough."
