"Folsom Academy is absolutely amazing! They certainly practice what they preach in that the instructors are very high energy and they get the same from the kids and adults in each class. The "family" type atmosphere is extremely inclusive and everyone is encouraged to participate. My daughter has had some recent behavior issues, in that she was in the principal's office 4 times in the first 3 months of school (mostly for challenges in getting along with class mates). Since she's been attending Folsom Academy, no issues whatsoever. She is a very different child - she's respectful, thinks before she speaks, and truly takes the words she says every night in class to heart: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, indomitable spirit - these are words she now understands and lives by. Most of all, I think this program has been successful for our family due to the fact that each class she attends, every question she "answers up for", every board she breaks - it instills the confidence a shy little girl so desperately needs. I can tell her she's smart, she's amazing, she's talented - until I'm blue in the face, but when she's in class, I can tell from the look on her face that she actually believes these things about herself.
