"Back here training primarily in the jiu jitsu program with Chief Mikey and I must say that I feel at home here. It's difficult to find a gym where you feel safe, respected, and uplifted but here at this dojo I feel that and more. Everytime I bow in and step on those mats I feel an immense feeling of gratitude to train here. Chief Mikey and Simo Kat have poured so much love and hard work into this space and it is clearly evident in the program that they offer. They have early bird jiu jitsu classes offered at 5am 3x a week along with evening classes offered 5x a week and they have an AM class offered Saturdays. I've trained internationally and at quite a few gyms in San Diego but nothing compares to a small ratio of students to instructor. Mikey or Alex never hesitates to answer any question I have, and I never leave frustrated that I didn't quite understand the technique because the instructor was too occupied. I am stoked I came back here (it's been a solid few months at this point.) And I warmly welcome anyone who would love to try Karate or jiu jitsu for the first time (or if you're already a seasoned practitioner looking for a new home) I'm hoping to see you on the mats soon!"

"I've been training here for about 2 years. I couldn't be happier with the instructors and the instruction being given. Sensei Mikey is an extremely knowledgeable Kenpo black belt who has a heart and passion or teaching and passing on his knowledge. His self defense techniques are simple and effective, and he regularly emphasizes the need to be able to fight on on your feet and on the ground. He teaches Kenpo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu for kids and adults. Professor Ricky is an experienced professional grappler and BJJ black belt. His knowledge and experience with is straight forward teaching style make it so easy to pick up new techniques. 10/10 would recommend to anyone of any age!"
