North County Aikikai

North County Aikikai is a health institution located at 813 Academy Drive in Solana Beach, California. Our school is dedicated to the art of Aikido, following the teachings of Morihei Ueshiba and T.K. Chiba Shihan. We strive to control aggression without causing harm, embodying the art of peace.

Our community of Aikido practitioners values mutual respect and commitment, engaging in rigorous training rooted in Japanese culture and etiquette. Chief instructor Coryl Crane Shihan, who trained under Chiba Shihan for over 30 years, leads our school with traditional principles while incorporating her own cultural experiences.

New members can enjoy 1 FREE MONTH of aikido training in January. We also engage with the wider community through events like beach cleanups with the Surfrider Foundation. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are committed to serving our community and preserving the art of Aikido for future generations.
