"So, you have a place like Alliance with 5-star reviews and 1-star reviews…who do you believe? Well, most of the 1-star reviews are from the last few months. Nearly all the rest since the beginning are 5 stars. I would like to offer my perspective. Two of my kids were enrolled here for a year. Until May, I would have given Alliance five stars without hesitation: caring, knowledgeable instructors, clean facilities, good schedules, and the credibility of an accomplished jiu-jitsu champion. However, when I tried to end my contract, I felt like I was getting the run-around. I tried to be patient because I know Gabi is busy, but when a billing glitch caused multiple incorrect transactions to the tune of $1885.65, I confronted Gabi. Eventually, the receptionist discovered that only two transactions were actually charged. Still, we were overcharged by $434.26. I only received part of it back because I disputed it with the bank. So, what is happening at Alliance right now that caused the recent 1-star reviews? To understand the full story, you need to understand that Gabi is a public figure. In May, Gabi went public with allegations against her husband, which made news headlines. On top of that, two of her popular instructors left at about the same time. I do not know the circumstances, but some members left because of this. And one more thing: Gabi is tough, and her style might upset some kids. So if you join Alliance, you need to understand these exceptional circumstances, and because of this, you may have to deal with classes that start late, run long, or may be canceled. We enjoyed 10 months of exceptional service, and I hope the current issues are only temporary. My recommendations if you decide to join: 1. Ensure you keep a copy of the contract and understand the agreement and financial terms, including cancellation details. 2. Use a credit card instead of a debit card so money isn't deducted from your bank account, and you will be able to immediately dispute any overcharges. I'm sorry about everything going on in her life right now, and I wish Gabi and Alliance all the best."
"Show up at 6AM no class, show up at 6PM no class. There’s been no class and last minute cancellations for weeks now. Also never any MMA classes, just Jiu Jitsu. Super unprofessional, I wouldn’t recommend signing up."
"I had my boys enrolled at alliance for 1 year, first 10 months were great ,with Myra and Ryan as coaches , after they left it went to hell in a handbasket. Gabi was the only coach ,classes were started late and sometimes not at all,Gabi showed up when she wanted to and to hell with the paying customers that have to schedule their time around work and the kids school hours and want the classes starting on time. Gabi bullies the kids by intimidation, picks on them and mocks them , so enough is enough we cancelled our contract as the year was up anyway. That started a journey of pain as she looks upon your cancellation as a betrayal and does everything she can to punish you financially, It's over finally and at least I hope so anyway. Do I recommend alliance eastvale NO, also reviews by current employees really shouldn't count just saying. (Edited) Now I have prove my kids went there, well here you go gabi, here are pictures of my boys that you said never went to alliance eastvale, when will your LIES stop."
"I came here a bit ago to jump into the world of jiu-jitsu as I have wrestled my whole life(18 years). I was recommended this gym by a close friend and tried it for 1 day. Horrible mistake. First of all, Gabi spent approximately 40% of the 1 hour session talking about how humble she was about her accolades, yet kept talking about them. I was there to learn jiu-jitsu but apparently I was actually there to learn about her championships and awards. The actual training afterwards was extremely basic even though I had mentioned my previous experience in MMA. I was placed with the beginners as expected but this was an introduction to the concept of grappling. When I mentioned that I knew this already and would like to be placed in a different class/area I was told this was the structure that Gabi has set. Fine, her gym her rules. After the session was over I had only went over 1 move which was a basic transition. At this pace I wouldn't learn how to properly defend myself till the next year. Once the class was nearing an end, she once again spent an absurd amount of time talking about how good she was but also how humble she was. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in MMA and I absolutely do not recommend this gym to anyone. She is completely out of touch and does not know how to properly train. One thing I will add, the other coaches she had on staff were absolutely professional and above her standards. They belong in a top tier gym and away from her. My mutual friends have come to the same conclusion and have also left the gym to follow other coaches. Please be aware that those coaches who made the experience bearable have left the gym and are currently coaching at an unknown location. Look into it for a good experience. Gabi herself seemed extremely disinterested in the class after she finished bragging about her lousy accomplishments. She spent a majority of the time on her phone in the front and allocated most of the coaching to her assistants. I was told by friends of the class that if you wanted to excel in her classes, you needed to spend x amount of time signed up to her gym. If you were not liked by her personally, you would not be promoted. From what I was told over time, your promotions to new belts was majority decided by your relationship with Gabi. I'm glad I had a limited amount of time with this gym as I have heard absolutely nothing positive about her gym or Gabi. I have mutual friends who are amateur MMA fighters who have mentioned horror stories with Gabi. Whether it be their training session together or their conversations, she is not to be trusted in teaching those interested in MMA. Please avoid this gym at all cost. The multiple lawsuits say enough. Gabi, please pay your workers. They deserve the best as they are the only reason you haven't been shut down. I genuinely hope you change."
"Alliance Eastvale is not a place to grow. Gabis behavior and treatment is the poorest representation of how a professor should interact with her students. Classes became her venting sessions and would go on for hours without anything being taught just Gabi talking about drama and past students. Gabi also doesn't show up to teach if you're paying for a black belt to teach you should receive that but that's not the case also the schedule says the gym has 6am classes that isn't the case she doesn't show up to teach and has other students teaching the afternoon classes. The constant harassment l've seen others receive from leaving is awful do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere."
