They come here happy and leave excited about what they learn. My son continues to train the lessons learned when he’s at home with my husband. "NOCMA feels like a family. We checked out a few jiu jitsu places in the area and when we walked into NOCMA, Scott was so kind. He explained everything to us and never seemed too busy to answer any questions. We had our kids try it out for a week and they loved it. Everyone at NOCMA is so friendly and because it’s a mixed martial art instead of just jiu jitsu, I feel like my kids are getting more from it. We’ve already tested (with no extra fees) for our wrestling and jiu jitsu stripes and are working on kick boxing, Muay Thai, and the knowledge and courage stripes next. I can’t wait to see my kids progress and I know that everyone at NOCMA (even the parents of the other students) are just as proud of my babies as I am."

As a long time martial artist, I look for a gym that has great instruction as well as great students - the students tell you all you need to know about the culture of a martial arts school/gym and the environment here is positive and allows for growth based on your skill level and goals. Professor Rob covers all aspects of a technique so you have understanding or not just what you are doing, but why. Additionally, the school is well organized and clean from the mat, to the lobby to the restroom - ALL super important. Lastly... they have candy!! Great job guys - happy to be training here!"
