"There have been many therapists and healers I've worked with in the last decade but no one has been more pivotal to my growth than Heather. I have truly blossomed under Heather's care and guidance. Traditional therapy is quite different than EMDR. EMDR pulls at the root of any issue whereas traditional therapy looks at and analyses the foliage. EMDR is soul work and Heather's ability to hold and honor this work is astounding and EFFECTIVE. If you are ready to SHIFT... not just talk about it: reach out to Heather. I feel abundantly lucky to have found and worked with her. These are my recommendations for anyone starting out EMDR with Heather: 1) Write down your limiting beliefs about yourself and about life. E.g. I have to be beautiful and/or thin to attract the right partner. I am only likable if I am nice. Rich people are greedy. I can't say what I really feel because I will be rejected. I must sacrifice my time, friends, social life, etc. in order to be successful. I'm not smart enough for a promotion. I am stuck in my job because I need to prioritize security over my own dreams and desires. I am a good person if I say yes to helping others even if I don't want to. I'm too old to change careers. It has to be done perfectly or it shouldn't be done at all. I am not ________ enough. 2) Let Heather do her job. I bet you're wondering if it's that easy - my response to you is: why does it have to be hard/challenging/difficult/laborious? I think when you find the right practitioner the work becomes easy. EMDR is a path back to your intrinsic goodness. You don't have to earn it. It's already within you. It's been buried under layers of limiting beliefs you've maybe picked up from well-intentioned parents, society, or wherever. Heather guided me back to my inherent brilliance and my life has expanded because of it. tl;dr I have worked with the majority of self-help modalities (cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion focused therapy, somatic experiencing, Enneagram, past life regression, group therapy, mindfulness practices, meditations, intuitive body work) but EMDR with Heather has been the most worthwhile. Thank you so very much, Heather."
"I saw Heather Dinneen 3 times and had very effective results in managing my acute and chronic anxiety disorder. I highly recommend her services. Dr Dan Smith, D.C. San Rafael, CA"
"I met Heather through my husband who supervised her for a number of years while she worked with transitional aged youth. He always spoke highly of Heather - her ability to listen to others and the care she took in serving her clients. After meeting Heather myself, it was evident that she is passionate about her work and genuinely wants to make a difference in improving her clients' quality of life through her work with EMDR."
"I had the privilege of working with Heather through case consultation. She possesses a sophisticated knowledge of the topic, as well as a gentle and fearless approach to treatment of her diverse clients. Her grasp of complex problems is outstanding. Her clinical work demonstrates a very good understanding of EMDR and a solid ability to apply it in the variety of her complex clinical caseload."
"Heather Dineen is one of the most powerful EMDR practitioners I've ever seen or heard of. Her goal in working with clients is to support them in transforming their lives. She does her work with compassion and insights that truly serve."
