"I was certainly scheduled with the best PT staff member (although they all appear to be very professional). Justin is very personable, professional and appears to have a vast knowledge beyond PT and easy to communicate my needs. BTW.....Leslie is very welcoming & professional as well when checking in. Thanks Select Physical Therapy"
"PT staff are generally friendly however my experience was largely negative. I came in for a common wrist injury. From the beginning my PT claimed it was unnecessary to diagnose the injury because the specifics did not matter for recovery. He gave me exercises to do but they did not improve my pain at all (over 2+ months). Each week he implied my lack of progress was my own fault and that I wasn’t dedicated enough to my recovery. Not only was this very condescending but it was also ridiculous — why would I pay all this money to attend PT and not try to get better? He also (wrongly) told me I would get arthritis if I did anything that caused my wrist to hurt or pop (which was almost any normal activity including writing or typing). This really stressed me out because there was some activity I could not avoid in my everyday life, and I had pain/instability even if I wore a brace. He also seemed perplexed each week when I did not see improvement but continued to encourage me to come in (and spend $) when obviously PT was not helping. Each week I’d spend about 20 minutes with him before he left me alone to do the same exercises I did at home while he tended to other patients. Even if those exercises were helping, I still would’ve been frustrated by this, since I’ve always gotten 1-on-1 attention for the full appointment at other PTs. I feel they may be overbooking. Later on I went to a specialist who diagnosed my issue as a very common wrist injury that tends to take 6-12 months to heal on its own. Therefore the lack of healing is *not* because I wasn’t trying to get better. The doctor also told me that I would *not* get arthritis from continuing activity and that pain management was the only concern. He seemed pretty unimpressed that someone would tell me that. I’m not one to leave negative reviews unless I truly believe others will be impacted as well, and in this case it seems warranted. Not only did I waste money but I was also given completely wrong information that worsened my frustration and stress about the injury. I also could’ve spent all that time recovering with the help of someone else. Giving 2 stars because I expect they’d do alright if you come in with an injury that has a very obvious treatment plan."
"So I went here twice and I had to take off a little over a week to take care of my health! They never told me anything about being kick out of PT if you miss more than a week. And I email my PT twice. First time I heard from her, she never mention being kicked out, and then the second time nothing! Her name is Monica btw! But the receptionist did call me back and told me I was basically kicked out of PT, because I missed to many days! Nobody told me this when I signed up. Was very disappointed."
"Heather Armstrong is the BEST PT. She's incredibly knowledgable, thorough and thoughtful in her approach. I've seen her twice for two very different issues, and both times she was so helpful in getting me back on my feet. In addition to providing excellent medical care, she's compassionate, pragmatic and takes input well. She's also really fun to work with!"
"I am a senior citizen with mobility problems! I’ve done physical therapy in the past but usually get injured or the staff really has no time to listen to what my specific difficulties would be. Not here! After a few sessions I was able to walk better than I have in years. I now look forward to each time I can meet with these incredible therapists. Mine are Samantha and Heather and I send kudos to them They are in a beautiful older architecture style building at California and First Street"
