"My two daughters have been coming here for sometime and they absolutely love it. The teachers are great. The way they instruct is in a way that a child can understand with the guidance and structure with a little bit of fun very happy."
"Been going here for a little over a year, and I have to say, it's been an amazing experience; the coaches prioritize student learning above all else. Many a time have the coaches gone back for me personally to show me how a move is done. Amazing place to train, 100% recommended"
"Riccardos gym is so family oriented that everyone still remembers your name after being away from training for over a year and a half. Ricardo always prioritize skill and safety over time and money spent before he would promote you. I know first hand since I'm a 2 year white belt maybe going on three? I'm glad I'm joined this loving family."
"I've just started martial arts again after a 20 year hiatus. I've only attended 6 classes, so I can't really provide a detailed review about how these classes differ from other gyms. My review is primarily for those who are new to martial arts and are just looking for reviews on the internet about a good place to get your foot in the door. My first 3 weeks here have been exciting and very demanding - and I mean that in the best possible way! The curriculum is equal parts discipline as it is technique and the atmosphere is incredibly positive! Each week I learn so much from the professor and all other students, and to test and push my body past it's comfortability, has become something, I wish I wouldn't have waited this long. I wasn't in the greatest shape coming in. I could have easily told myself that I should cut 30+ Lbs before coming in, but I'm glad I didn't wait. For those that are worried about getting hurt, or feeling insecure, there is plenty of time spent on proper technique to avoid injury, and the whole class is the embodiment of humility, so you are in good company! Each class begins with warmups, and stretching and will usually involve learning one or more techniques with plenty of humor. It's always a fun time with plenty of satisfaction at the end. I've brought in a few friends, and I've never seen anyone's attitude in life become so focused and positive so quickly as with this! To top everything off, the professor's focus with me has been on my commitment to studying and my attendance, not just getting another person in the door. On my first day, I described my prior injuries, and medical conditions that have a pretty dramatic affect on my workouts and he not only addressed them but he goes the extra step to make accommodations for them, when needed, but continuously pushes me, so that my body can become a better, more efficient machine, and it is because of this I feel valued, and feel comfortable making a long term commitment with this gym. If you have any doubts, just come in and try it!"
"I enrolled my son at Ricardo's academy when he was 4 and probably one of the best investments we've made. The academy is great with kids and along with learning self defense my son has built self-confidence and respect. A year ago I signed myself up and also plan on doing the same my two younger boys when there ready."
