"My son used to be trained here for two and half years and got a certain belt level. He had two Sifus, one left before Covid and the other, Master Liu stayed and continued to coach till now. Sifu Liu was probably the most truthful and diligent master I've ever met. I only saw him getting flighty once, most of the time, he carried a calm composure and a determined mindset. He let the students take turns leading group exercises. He can be strict at times, but he supported students to be what they want to be. He believed in every and each student's potential, guided them to improve, progress and excel, and cheered for their successes. For that I deeply appreciate him. The exercise was always physically challenging, encouraging, and fun. The training environment was quite positive and supportive. My son loved it! However, the online distance training during Covid was lackadaisical to say the least. Practicing in a backyard with a laptop was no fun for a teenager by any means. Everyone quickly lost the motivation, especially the ones who pay. :) So when our contract expired and the online classes still continued, we decided to quit. Now looking back, this Shaolin Martial Arts experience does have flip sides: 1) After 2 years of dumping $$$$ and spending all that time and energy, for the sake of looking good in the college application, my son can't do a single cartwheel. You can't deny there's talent involved. 2) The former Sifu used to push kids to go to tournament even knowing the kids can't make the rank, but they want the contribution to a money pool for the prize. Liu wouldn't do it though. He is honest and not controlling. Knowing my son's ability, I always decline. 3) Gadgets and belt exams are not cheap, expect to spend the dough. 4) I did a research and found out this center, like Confucius Academy, could likely be infiltrated by a political/economic ideology that could use the preaching of loyalty to indoctrinate children. The founding Abbot is definitely not a saint (had criminal records.) So be aware of it. 5) The building was bought and paid off, so they don't need to pay rent, get it? Overall, my son did learn something from the Sifus."

"My son loves these classes. He's been attending their classes for almost 6 months, and he looks forward to kung fu every time and keeps practicing on his own at home because of how much he likes these classes. The classes feel more age appropriate than others we tried and more individualized. I like how kids have to work more consistently than in other schools to advance on their belt color without classes being overly structured or strict. This works well with young kids because once they advance to the next level they feel its a big accomplishment and a push to their motivation."

"Went for a trial class and the instructor is amazing. We will be signing up. He was patient but diligent and wanted the best for the kids. The class was very enjoyable, fun, demanding (in a good way), and my daughter learner ALOT in her first class. Prices are super reasonable. Place is very clean and modern. Great parking are too."
