"I stumbled upon the San Jose Wing Chun (SJWC) school by accident when I was at SJSU. Through the last 6 years, I've been lucky enough to learn from Sifu Ben Der, a high school classmate with Hawkins Cheung and Bruce Lee. Even though Sifu Ben learned from Ip Man, it wasn't until he met Kenneth Chung, a direct student of Leung Sheung (Ip Man's first student in Hong Kong), that he started to develop the Wing Chun he teaches today. The best part of San Francisco Wing Chun is that it's taught by Sifu Ben's son, Sifu Francis Der, who's been doing it for 20+ years. This is also an official Leung Sheung school in SF. There are no belts and the seniors are always willing to help out the beginners and intermediate students. As senior as some of the students are, they're always pushing to learn more and develop their skills."
