"Overall bad experience for fist time parents with a planned pregnancy! Dr. Dale Mitchell was VERY disengaged throughout the duration of our appointment. Not only had we waited 35 minutes before he arrived, but he never “talked at or to us”. He stared and talked to the floor the entire time, even when casually mentioning our due date (which we had not known) in passing. This is our first pregnancy and he showed no enthusiasm that we selected him as our Obstetrician. Almost as if it was an unfortunate selection. He also insinuated my husband (high ranking military) and I (federal employee) would not have been able to afford genetic testing. I had assumed an OB in La Jolla would have been more inviting, however, he recommended us to an area of a lesser quality. The lack of diversity in staff and baby photos on the walls reflects how this clinic interacts with non- Hispanic and Caucasian patients. Therefore, I do not feel comfortable allowing this doctor or clinic to handle my prenatal care, let alone our baby."
