"I got the New York's Tastiest which is a chicken shawarma wrap with coconut yogurt-tahini sauce and it tasted decent, however, the consistency didn't hold up as the pita would tear apart. This was the most uninspiring item I've had during my trip here and for the $12.99 I paid, I could have gotten something more worth my money elsewhere in the park. I give them a 2/5 because although the food was decent, I wouldn't suggest this spot to anyone and would point someone towards another direction if asked my opinion on the spot. I hope they consider this feedback and make improvements on the shawarma because there is potential here!"
"This ranks on par with everything else on the Avengers Campus: not worth the time or especially the money. This Shawarma, while decently tasty, costs $14 for a meal that should be priced around $6. The chicken is very salty, and the meal starts falling apart once unwrapped. This would be a 4 to 5 star meal if it weren't for the price. The taste is good, but the meal is a rip off."
"I mean definitely overpriced but it’s Disney what do you expect. That being said, both options were delicious! And I appreciate the impossible meat costing the exact same as the chicken option. They may look small but one is filling and a definite treat. Overall, I say it’s worth it."
"Quick review: Shawarma Palace is a glorified photo-op. You'll have better food literally ANYWHERE else in the resort. As of June 4th, 2021 the food is only available through mobile ordering, good luck ordering before 8:30 am. Not worth it! Full review: I was lucky enough to go to Avengers Campus (AC). I'm a huge Marvel fan, and had an unforgettable time. What was forgettable, was the Shawarma Palace. Mind you, I arrived at 5:45 am. I got to Avengers Campus by 8:45 am. Went to try and purchase the shawarma chicken wrap at Shawarma Palace and was informed at the cart that they're only doing mobile orders. I said, "oh, kinda neat." Boy was I wrong. At this point it was 9:20 am and to my surprise, the mobile orders were booked for the day... not just here but at the whole Avengers Campus. I could have left to other parts of DCA or Disneyland where there was an overabundance of food. But leaving the area meant no return since the re-entry time to AC from multiple accounts was 6 hrs. Being a huge fan, I stayed for quite some time and monitored the cart to see if anyone would be willing sell me their grub for $50 (it costs $13). No takers. By 11:30 am I talked to a park staff member and asked (begged really) if I could just purchase some shawarma chicken wraps (2) for myself and wife. We were starved at this point. In a hushed voice, they told me to get in the mobile order line. Two things, weird that Disney does not want my money. Two, even weirder considering there were tons of shawarma wraps not being picked up. Alas, I was ecstatic and overjoyed that I was so "lucky" to have gotten the wrap. My excitement turned to utter disappointment when I tried it and realized that the wrap itself is bland and bad. I've had better food on a plane. Says a lot. The wrap consists of some form of marinated chicken, a hummus-like sauce and a soggy pita bread. The tsatsiki sauce barely enhanced the food. As a fan of the concept, I only fondly take away the experience (photo-op really) of getting a shawarma wrap here because of its history within Avengers lore. Beyond that it's a logistical and culinary disaster. You're better off eating anywhere else. Looking back, I was relieved that all those people rejected my $50 offer, lessening that disappointing experience."
"NY's Tastiest was the perfect way to end 13 hours of avenging at DCA! The chicken shawarma is one of the best theme park foods I've had. It's full of savory flavor and the sauce gives it a fresh kick."
