"I had a good experience with staff and doctor Baker for my prenatal care, but after that it was horrible. There was a disagreement between my insurance and Dr. Baker’s office about what they wanted to bill and what my insurance wanted to pay. I understand that this happens sometimes but it was handled very poorly by Dr. Baker’s staff. A week after I delivered they sent me a bill in the mail for $5,000 with no explanation except that my insurance wouldn’t cover my care. They sent me a follow up bill for the same amount a month later. So during the first 3 months of my maternity leave I had to spend hours and days on the phone with Dr. Baker’s office and my insurance trying to figure out what happened. I had full insurance coverage that was in-network with Dr. Baker, and I paid my deductibles and patient portion so I was very confused. They told me I had to send an appeal to my insurance when in reality, this is the responsibility of the Dr.’s office and to be handled on their end, NOT by the patient. I was told this repeatedly by my insurance, but Dr. Baker’s team turned me into a middle man and wanted me to solve the problem, balance billing me in the meantime and causing severe and undue stress to me and my family. They finally did their job and zeroed the bill in their system while they took full responsibility of the appeal on their end, but a year later around the time this was resolved by my insurance I received an odd, random email from Dr. Baker’s team saying that my insurance wasn’t paying and they wanted to collect a discounted cash amount of $3,500. When I called to inquire they said this was an automated email that wasn’t supposed to go out. Oops????!!!! Save yourself a billing nightmare and find another provider."

"Dr Perkins had completely exceeded my expectations in every way . She really listened to my concerns and addressed each one . She’s great at communicating and educating you about the entire process from start to finish . I am so happy I got to be with a Dr that really encourages you to let your body do what it was made to do . Having a Dr you can trust especially during such a sensitive time is EXTREMELY important . You can definitely tell this is her passion and she does it well !!"
