"After having Dr. COHEN for many years, I am moving on. Today I was requesting a follow up for habitual bronchitis after repeated visits to UC. I ended up at UC through being mishandled repeatedly by his office in past months. I was seeking an appointment and a referral to a pulmonologist. I was referred by one of Dr Cohen’s assistants earlier in the day, but when I called Dr Das’s office they told me they could see no referral. I called the Cohen’s office again and asked for help with his staff. Once again they said they would take care of it. I had also made an appointment with Dr Cohen for 30th, which I have since cancelled after the aggressive mouthing I got. Once again I was referred to the pulmonologist but Dr Das’s office wanted a referral. They would not make the appointment, because, the referral was not sent over. I called the two more times and was mishandled on the phone two more times. I lefts message barely able to speak, not so much for Dr Cohen but for anyone to contact Dr Das to assist. Finally, Dr Cohen called back. During the course of that conversation he said and I quote, “stop busting my balls, your are not the only one. It’s a broken system.” You could imagine how done I am. Glad to be moving on. I did finally after all day get a woman from some office to set up an appointment for Dr Das. After all this, I’m not sure I’m gonna keep that appointment. It is the last week of March. Done"
"My first visit I was told would be covered 100% by my insurance since it was an annual check up. It was. However, something was found in my labs that required a prescription. The prescription was simply called in and the way I found out I needed medication was the pharmacy calling to let me know it was ready. I was terrified about what was possibly wrong with me and when I called to ask what the prescription was for they charged me an office visit. Wow. Just wow. Very heartless experience and they lost a patient just as fast as they gained one."
"Worst Dr. I've ever seen! called me "Toots" a few times, made assumption on my medical history with out follow up questions. When I did not give the answer he was looking for brushed me off and said " well anyway" When I asked about conditions maybe being based on my age was told it comes with age "just deal with it". Then uninvitedly touched my arm DURING A PANDEMIC!!!! He wanted to follow up in a week I made my appointment with my regular Dr. lets home nothing happens to me in the mean time. but if it does at least I have this review as proof that I said something!"
"Dr. Cohen was very thorough with his examination and very welcoming in his attitude. He even called me personally to let me know testing results! I was very happy with the whole experience!"
"My husband who is disabled and medically comprised had what seemed to be a stomach bug. After 24 hours of vomiting I took him to Urgent Care on Redondo and Willow in Long Beach CA. I was worried because he has had several GI bleeds over the years. We were met with courtesy checked and sent to triage. We saw Dr Cohen with in the half hour. He did a lengthy history and examination of my husband and looked up all his past records and doctor visits including all the specialist he has seen. Started IV fluids and nausea medication. My husband was there for at least 4 hours after the fluids and medication he was feeling much better. Dr Cohen treated him with thoughtful care and felt it was probably a stomach bug but the blood work Dr Cohen ordered determined that his hemoglobin was low and it need to be checked out further. Dr Cohen ordered blood work for my husband to have the next day to see if there was any change in the numbers and said if my husband or myself felt he was getting worse to take him right to the ER and follow up with our doctor on Monday. We are so grateful for the great health care Healthcare Partners has provided for us in the last 2 1/2 years since we moved here from the East Coast. Thank you Dr Cohen. Monya and Mark Kramer"
