Dr Shafee OBGYN

"I'm actually pretty surprised at all the 5 star reviews Dr. Shafee has. I thought I hit the lottery finding a doctor near my house covered by my insurance. When I arrived it was very obvious the practice prioritizes profits over patients with floor to ceiling marketing for injections and aesthetics. I came to Dr. Shafee because I discovered a family risk of breast cancer and early menopause. He was very dismissive of previous tests I had done to discover a genetic mutation PALB2, he even asked ME what to prescribe in terms of mammograms (seriously? I'm not the doctor..) If Dr. Shafee was not comfortable with these topics I wish he would have just referred me elsewhere and not seen me, but you bet he wasn't going to give up billing for my visits. Instead, I told him what fertility bloodwork test I needed (yes..I had to pull up my sister's bloodwork and show it to him so he knew what to order). After getting the results, I got the cherry on top which was the bedside manner of an actual table lamp. He spent all of 3 minutes on the phone with me telling me, a 33 year old, that my ovaries "don't work" and I "have no eggs left." You think telling someone my age that they may not be able to have children is a topic you handle with grace, but not here. Edit: that call was a week ago and I just heard from his office asking for my $50 copay. I'm sorry...$50 for 3 minutes of talking on the phone so you could tell me without ANY compassion that my ovaries are "broken"? I don't know why this man chose to be an OBGYN. There are other more profitable careers if your only goal was to make a buck. To any new patient considering whether to go to Dr Shafee: heed my warning. Find someone else that will treat you with respect."

"Dr.Shafee was my obgyn during complicated pregnancy. Im very thankful to him and his staff how gentle, professional they treated me during my pregnancy. I highly recommend Dr.Shafee- he was very knowledgeable, he cares and he takes time to comfort you and explain everything. He did c-section as well, it was fast, no complications, and he would follow up, because he really cares. If i would decide to have another child, its for sure that my doctor would be Dr.Shafee. special thanks to his reception girls- very welcoming and professional. Strongly recommend and wish Dr.Shafee long and happy life and thanks again for helping me in my journey to be a mom again."

"Dr. Shafee took his time to explain my issues and requested additional testing. I have been here before for a procedure. He was careful and he and the nurse made sure I was okay. I'm not sure about the past negative reviews about front desk. Everytime I call, someone answers the phone. Staff is professional and have great customer service. It is obvious they are super busy, but they still provide great customer service."
