"Was referred to Dr. Moniak for my complete bi-lateral salpingectomy (aka fallopian tube removal) and did not get any push back from this request to be sterilized - so nice to have a doctor trust a patient's decision. This was for birth control reasons and I felt fully supported by the entire staff. The outpatient surgery was at Hoag, with no complications. I am very happy with all of the staff in both the main office and the hospital."

"I was a former patient of Dr. Moniak. When I was being treated by him just for Well Woman visit no problem . However back in 2019 I was bleeding irregularly for 10 plus days and I went to see him immediately. I remember feeling rushed by him and he told me since I have fibroids the only treatment was to get a hysterectomy. I was 46 yrs at that time and why would I cut out my uterus as the only treatment??? There are so many other alternatives. And mind you the fibroids were all under size of a cherry. So irresponsible to tell me I needed a hysterectomy! I am writing this review now as I have a new OBGYN Dr. Megan Moore from Memorial Care and my experience with her was so different. Dr. Moore gave me options and is so much more attentive and actually listens. I am glad I didn't listen to Dr. Moniak. I also changed my diet in 2019 and am pescatarianism and fibroids did shrink . Every time I saw him he was sweaty and appeared he was rushing. His female PA was great when I would see her for follow up appts. I would not recommend this doctor."
