Reviews
"The CORE has really transformed CSUEB, and has benefitted its students in many ways. There are study rooms to book equipped with a whiteboard, a television to project anything from your devices and much more. I love how the floors are divided by noise level. The 3rd floor has the best views! It is also the quiet level. You do not have to worry about the CORE getting full there is always seating for all the students. Many students reserve the larger rooms and have study sessions together."
"The CORE, the new library at California State University, East Bay, is a standout facility. Opened in Fall 2022, it's not just a library but also includes the Student Center for Academic Achievement and the Hub for Entrepreneurship. I was particularly impressed by its extensive collections, including the papers of Presidents Eisenhower and Ulysses S. Grant. Spanning 100,980 square feet, it offers state-of-the-art learning and collaboration spaces. The design is environmentally conscious, supporting the university's sustainability goals. Overall, The CORE is a remarkable addition to the campus, enriching the academic experience for students and faculty alike."
"On the occasions that I have visited this library doesn't value silence. There is lots of loud talking in groups and eating. Far cry from the libraries I grew up with. Might as well hire a library monitor who might assist them with public rules of library conduct."
"Various setups for people to study solo or in groups or lounge around while studying! Various resource books available for two hours period at a time ( saves you from buying recent editions needed in class ) Helpful staff, decent layout , barista located at the base. Very close by to other outlets in the campus. Prints available for decent price for students. Many computers set in both floors for student to access materials and blackboard and emails. I am yet to know the hours on weekend. The hours on google are not proper so plz confirm it with the library. Sunday it closes at 7 pm. Thankful for this place as I can study here on weekends when my daughter at home dosent let me study :)"
