"As much as I want to support new Araby spots, I was disappointed here. I don't think they know what they want to be, a shawarma spot, a family dining spot, an ice cream shop, a sports bar, a culture dinner/show spot, pick a theme and stick with it, please. I would advise them against being a shawarma spot because they don't know what that is. Seriously, the chicken was sauteed pieces with lots of seasoning. My friends lamb shawarma was inedible. Falafel was a bit dry but the fries were crispy good. The service folks were nice but they had zero clue about the menu, bill split, or even plate serving. They need a minimum to figure themselves out, and I wish them luck in doing so, seriously."
"We had an event for 25 people. We tried almost everything on the menu. My favorite was the Salmon. My wife loved the chicken wings with the 5 sauces. Another favorite was the red curry Mac n Cheese. It was a Wednesday night and the resultant did not have a lot of people, it felt like we had a place to ourselves. I highly recommend it as a casual hang out with good food and a nice vibe."
"Great selection of local beer! David the bartender very friendly and attentive. Housemade hummus is delicious & Cheesecake by Danny is made with love, and you can tell! Thank you we will be back"
"Had one of the strangest experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. Showed up with a group of 15 mid evening to an almost empty venue. It almost seemed as if the waitress who was taking care of our table wasn't allowed to take any of our food or drink orders, only the guy in charge was, even though she was attending our table? We managed to get two or three drink orders in, but weren't able to place any further drink orders for anyone else at the table. Requests to order food were met with "I can't take that order only [the guy in charge] can." We waited 30 minutes and nobody ever came for our order. We ended up paying for the 4/5 drinks we got and just walked out. The guy in charge didn't even try and explain, just said "sorry" and shrugged as we walked all 15 of us out the door. Seriously strange. Hopefully they can get themselves sorted in the future."
"New restaurant in the old Hawker Fare space. Menu is a mix of American comfort food (wings & burgers) and quite a lot of southeast asian dishes, including some of our favorites from Hawker Fare! Solid beer selection too. Ordered the wings, papaya salad, and blistered green beans, all were good, green beans and wings were the highlight."
