Thank you Dr Shin for being awesome :) Updating the review to remove one star based on my second pregnancy experience. She is quite busy so it was difficult to see her towards end of pregnancy. I got diagnosed with GD and was pushed to take insulin even though the levels were not bad. No alternative was offered and was suggested C-section. She is a cheerful doctor who has your best interest in mind but can be very pushy so it’s hard to follow your will and still be liked by the doctor. Maybe everyone is like that but a doctor should understand that the patient is a person with a complex system that cannot be fully understood by the books."

Dr. Shin is my primary OB doctor, and she has always been friendly, helpful, encouraging, and informative at every appointment. In addition to checking on my condition and my baby, she has been empathetic throughout COVID and has helped me work through my many concerns related to the virus and pregnancy. Moreover, she went as far as to talk me through some important details about maternity leave and SDI, which I doubt many doctors would take the time to discuss. She is a friendly, upbeat, and wonderful doctor. I highly recommend her to anyone who is expecting."
