Reviews of Chapman Grand
"If you are a Chapman University student, don't live here, it's like being a commuter student (20 minutes) and the shuttle is unreliable. My friends felt I was too far for them to visit so they never visited even though my 1-bedroom place was big and beautiful. The building is very quiet so it's incredibly lonely, no one is in the hallways, no one is around, no one hangs out in the lounge. Beautiful apartments but all wrong for a college student. The security is questionable, as the door from the parking garage to the rooms has no card key. I felt like I could be attacked and scream and no one would be around to hear. Don't make the same mistake that I did by choosing to live at Chapman Grand, go closer to campus."
"Nice apartment complex owned by Chapman university. Very new families. Has gym and swimming pools inside. Chapman shuttle runs every 20 min. very convenient. Gated parking...very secured. Nice management."
"I lived here December 2016 to April 2017. I travel for work so I only needed a place for a short time. I still have not received my pet deposit back. I have a 5 yr old Yorkie so its not like he tore up the place. I called and emailed. Left multiple messages and I still have not received my $500 dollar pet deposit. I'm sure if I had owed them money they would've had no problem contacting me. Guest parking is a joke. They expect you to get a parking pass before the office closes each day your guest stays. Security does not issue parking passes. So If you decide to have a guest stay the night after the office closes they better find parking on the street. Parking on the street is available a few blocks over. Even though there is plenty of open parking on the roof top. The gentleman I rented the apartment from was very nice. I believe is name was Aaron King. Very professional gentleman. Some of the other staff are very unprofessional. They see you are waiting for help and will ignore you and keep talking in their office. There is literally dog poop everywhere. It's like people think its okay not to pick up after your animal. I'm sure the grounds staff doesn't want to pick it up either but its pretty disgusting."
"Very easy to get to Disneyland parks but not walking. Very noisy sometimes because of the industrial center right next to it. You can see the fireworks on the garage roof at 925p every night. Neighbors are friendly but not a great place for families. Sparkling pool and spa in the center commons area with plenty of various deck seating. My favorite was a covered loveseat with its own shade. Construction next door can also be annoying at times. Nights are relatively quiet. Gated parking lot and locked outside doors give some added security."
"Worst living experience in 5 years (4 different apartments). Brand spanking new apartment, charges a premium because they market themselves to be luxury apartment. I was the very first resident in my unit. I've had broken pipes under my sink damaging my goods, leakage from the laundry hookup from upstairs. Management couldnt figure out how to assign parking for the 11 months that i was there, and now im assigned on the fifth floor when i live on the second, which is quite frustrating. The manager, Holly, told me that "its because you are the least paying resident," when i asked why i was put on the fifth floor. Management has not met their deadline on almost everything, parking, gate, and my move-in date. Loud neighbors, i complained to the security guards and they supposedly talk to them but it continues every night. EDIT: I recently talked to Holly over the phone about the on-going parking issue. She told me to not call her again because there is nothing that she can do for me anymore. The day after the phone call, she deleted my post on the community website about an issue I had with the package deliver system (along with some of my other comments) that I wanted to share with the community."
