"The Drake Institute truly changed my life for the better. I can’t believe I lived the way I did before going here. Highly recommend, it’s worth every penny. My quality of life has drastically improved thanks to the incredible doctors, staff , and treatment plan."
"Great office location and friendly staff! Very accommodating to our unique needs and schedules! The process was very smooth and our son was comfortable during his training! We started seeing improvements in his communication and thought process within a couple of weeks. We had been to Drake several years before and saw improvements then, but the most recent visit clearly turned things around. Our son is more confident, more productive, has better self awareness, and communicates fluidly!!! We look forward to coming back in the near future."
"I am forever grateful to Drake Institute for all the of tremendous life changes that they have made in my family. We started with Drake for my son who was 6 yrs old. He was getting into a lot of trouble at school. He was hyperactive and just never stopped. Doing homework with him was such a frustrating nightmare. He showed massive progress with treatment. He’s in 4th grade now and can do all of his work on his own. He’s doing so good and I know we wouldn’t have gotten there if it wasn’t for the neurofeedback. A few years ago, adopted our daughter from foster care and we were willing to try anything to help her get better. She had extreme rage meltdown several times a day, a ton of sleep challenges, impulsive and challenging behaviors. Her challenges were different and far more extreme than our sons, but we needed to do something to make things better. She completed treatment with Drake when she was 5 and it was life changing. She’s so much happier, her sleep is normal, no more rage tantrums throughout the day, and she has the behaviors of a typical child her age. Drake was a gift from God. My 13 year old son who had no behaviors but a lot of trouble with staying focused and completing his work is currently in the program now. Again we are seeing great results. And my husband is also in the program too. He is sleeping better and is also seeing results. I am so grateful for how Drake Institute has helped my family. All of the staff are so friendly. We made this program a priority and the cost has been worth every penny. My family is my treasure so of course I would sacrifice to get them whatever they needed to be successful. Thank you, Drake Institute, the all of the amazing life changes that you have given to my family."
"We paid 12K for a couple months treatment in 2019. It's all about retraining the brain using focus dots. No effect on my daughter. Wasted money but atleast we tried. Staff is ok."
"The Drake Institute changed my daughter's and my family's life forever. My daughter had struggled with school since she started Kindergarten. Early on teachers said she'd grow out of it, but we always felt something was off. She was fidgety, couldn't focus, and her emotions would run the gamut of angry to sad any time she had to read, write, or do any school work for that matter. Top that with severe sensory issues and anxiety and school and going out into public were oftentimes a nightmare. Fast forward to the third grade and school psychologists finally determined she suffered from ADHD and shared some of the traits of children on the autistic spectrum. It was suggested we get a further diagnosis and we instantly feared that doctors would try and medicate her. We started researching alternatives and our daughter's pediatrician casually suggested the Drake Institute. After researching it, I was skeptical. They study brainwaves, make your kid play on a computer and somehow this magically helps them? Despite reservations we contacted the institute and started the process. What I loved about the Drake Institute is that you can tell from day one that they a) really care about their patients and b) want to make sure patients and their families know exactly what to expect. Before even stepping foot into the office my wife had a nearly 30 minute call with Dr. Velkoff discussing my daughter's issues, the program, and the process. We were then invited to the office to do an orientation where we would spend a few hours learning about the institute, the techniques they use, and the research behind it. We then met with Dr. Volkoff to discuss my daughter's situation further, answer questions, and discuss next steps. This amount of detail and insight turned my skepticism into optimism as I looked forward to what this might do for our daughter. After the initial brain mapping my daughter completed a total of 36 sessions at The Drake Institute with the emphasis primarily on attention, while also touching on anxiety/emotional regulation. And while it didn't "cure" my daughter, this, along with the breathing exercises she was taught, have made drastic improvements to her life. We have seen improvement in her school work, behavior and emotional stability. She willingly reads and writes and is able to focus better on tasks. Her anxiety, while still a problem, is much more manageable allowing her to function better under pressure or in situations where she might become fearful. We have already recommended the Institute to other family members and friends who have children suffering from ADHD or autism based on our daughter's improvement. The only reason I didn't give this a five star review was because we had some minor inconsistencies and issues with the front office staff in regards to scheduling, but overall we are extremely pleased with everyone at the Institute and the care my daughter received."
