"Stumbled over here from an event at the Verdi Club without reservations and in Victorian get up - and were lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar. The chef's menu had us at uni toast, but actually the donut holes with caviar were probably my favorite ridiculous things. Really, the entire raw bar was outstanding. We felt really spoiled by this menu and very welcomed by the staff. Would definitely come back here with reservations next time!"
"Excelled Asian fusion food served at this restaurant located in the Dogpatch area. Friendly staff, top notch service by all servers. Highly recommend to book reservation well in advance."
"This place really blew me away! The food was all incredible and featured innovative takes on a fusion of Asian cuisines. We ordered a good chunk of the menu and honestly loved everything we had! They also had delicious options for mocktails that were complex and not too sweet. Our server's energy was a bit flat, but other than that it was such a great experience and I can't wait to return."
"I *loved* Ernest. Such a killer balance of high and low, elevated and comforting. I got the vibe from the menu and plating that they have a sense of humor or playfulness. Highlights included the fried mushrooms, crispy squid, dumplings, Parker house rolls (duh), and the hazelnut ice cream with magic shell. I also thoroughly appreciated having a few interesting non alcoholic cocktails to choose from as I wasn’t in the mood for a drink. Will absolutely be back on my next trip to San Francisco!"
"Delicious, fresh food with generous portions. Some dishes were better than others but overall they were all quite good. What was strange to me was the still water was $7 per bottle. So we gotta ask for tap water now? Paying for still water seems very strange and did not expect to see that on the tab. We didn’t ask for “bottles” either, just still water."
