"I was told it may take a while for my teen to find the right counselor to connect with so my expectations really were not set to high for day 1 meeting. Jay seemed to be able to connect on a level with my 14 old almost immediately. He found a way to get her talking not just about what she has faced so far in life but what she will face going forward, good and bad, and I could see she had a glimpse of hope knowing she would have someone to help her understand that it's OK to feel all of the things she is feeling. That her feelings are valid and that she matters. When we walked out of his office that day my daughter said, "I like him, he was funny and really nice". We are excited for her new journey and look forward to seeing her grow to face life's challenges with the help of Jay."
