"Do not let them push you into buying GAP Insurance from Equipro/ Oak Group. When they handled my auto loan through my bank, they added “optional” GAP to my loan without asking me.($500) When I questioned this, Steve told me I had to have it because my regular insurance would not pay if the car was totaled. 3 weeks later the car was in a rollover. The opposite is true, regular auto insurance pays, Gap does not. The GAP Insurance by Equipro/Oak Group is a scam, a nightmare, and even though you will follow through with their requirements and have a perfectly legitimate claim, they will mess with you in ways you never imagined to avoid paying you. Forget these Finance specialist middlemen. Go directly to your bank. You will get a better rate and they won’t intimidate you into buying snake oil."
