"He missed my stroke while I was in labor. I remember doing my labor after having epidural and tell him doctors I did not feel right they assured me I was okay and that it was normal. I cannot feel left half of my body and I was told it was the medication because they gave me C-section medication I was giving C-section medication due to having my placenta fall apart inside of me. They did surgery to remove that and before the surgery began the doctor tried getting me to sign paperwork that I could not understand I could not hear him and I was in and out of it. Well during my week the hospital did not provide me with the proper treatment. I had one nurse going through my personal belongings before I gave birth when I was heavily medicated. During my delivery it was in the middle of shift change so there is a whole massive amount of people watching my delivery as I began to stroke out and it was missed by everyone. Wasn't until 4 months later I had been admitted to the hospital for stroke like symptoms. In which then they found my old stroke. Now that explains all the complications I had while healing and being told my labor was normal. When it was anything but. I would like to give a big thank you to Jennifer I do not remember your last name but it ended with ski. You help me through my labor as long as you could. I was very sad not to have you in the operating room with me after I pushed little Leo out. I am very upset that no one listened to me when I told them I could not feel my left side of my body and I was profusely throwing up bile unable to hear anyone struggling to see having difficulties comprehending. And the following weeks struggling to hold my baby. I never went back for my postpartum checkup I felt too traumatized and instead went to my old doctor. I wish doctors at Aurora would pay more attention to people's blood pressure while administering the epidural. If the epidural is administered well the blood pressure is too high or too low it can cause a stroke. I suffer from high blood pressure and I believe that should have been monitored when they were debating about the epidural in the first place. Please do not ignore your patients next time when they say they don't feel right and can't feel half their body and can't understand what you're saying to them. This is one review I desperately need it off my chest. And I hope the Aurora team never puts anyone in a situation like they put me through. Which has left me with severe PTSD and potentially permanently handicapped ."

"I felt Dr Carlson was a fantastic Dr. He's straight and to the point, yet caring and takes as much time needed to answer all questions. He and another doctor delivered my daughter by c-section and it was so fast and professional. Only down side is it's hard to schedule sometimes. I saw the whole group of Drs there, so it was easier to schedule that way vs just sticking to one Dr."

"Dr. Douglas is a great doctor, BUT I would not recommand the Aurora Medical Group Obstetrics and Gynecology in west allis, it takes 4-6 weeks to schedule a 30min appt with any of the doctors, their to busy. I'm disappointed. I have been seeing them for the last 3 years and this year, they have shorter staffs. I am going elsewhere!"
