"School of nursing is an embarrassment to Wisconsin school system. The advisors are supposed to help a student along the way to graduate within expected time frame. According to my advisors(Katie Nack- terrible), I was supposed to graduate this semester but instead misled me, and took all of my financial aid. I am basically paying double for a bachelors degree now. Student Affairs department absolutely useless. Tried to speak with the Chancellor with appropriate requests and his secretary would not let me. Most of the nursing program teachers were difficult to work with and did not teach what you are supposed to know, especially Doc Brown and Deanna. IT was a struggle to work with. I would never want to have any if these nurses treat me under any circumstances, it is that bad. Hopefully, their changes coming up in a few years involves better staff and better support for students. And a fair education. The first year in pre-nursing was my favorite, to say the least, e.g. A&P, genetics, etc. It's pathetic if this is what the school system is offering because it is not bettering our offsprings future."
"Hi everyone I am South African and I currently looking for Universities in the States and came across UWM I am really struggling what should I do"
"I love my school and the college of nursing. I am a second-semester nursing student and I feel as though I made the right decision in choosing UWM college of nursing. This is definitely the right fit for me. My professors and clinical instructors are awesome. If you don't understand certain things they will make time for you to come to office hours, and go over the material with you."
"UWM nursing program is garbage. Their facilities are outdated. The supplies are lacking (where does the tuition go?). They may lose there accreditation soon if they can't get their NCLEX passing rate up. Because of this they are changing up the program which is creating extreme disorganization causing students to be treated as Guinea pigs. Strongly advise against applying to this program. You'd get better facilities and supplies from wctc, too bad they dont have a 4 year RN program."
