Reviews
"Great church, great staff and great pastors!"
"Lengthy review but I wanted to get this out there for parents like me, who may not have the best financial situation but want to explore the option of private schools. I attended private catholic schools throughout grade school and high school. Like many parents, choosing where to send your child to school is a major decision in life. Due to the COVID pandemic and my spouse being a stay-at-home mom (myself a registered nurse) my child lacked interaction with children his age. When he turned 3 years old, we looked into options. There certainly are not many options other than daycare in the Hales Corners, Franklin, Muskego area. We came across Hales Corners Lutheran Elementary. While my child misses the age cut-off by 6 days, we enrolled him in the PS2 program. First, we completed a guided tour of the school to see what they have to offer. The amenities are nice and the building itself clean. Since then, my child has attended PS2 and 3K. We reassessed our options a lot as my son will be going into 4k. There is no doubt about it Hales Corners Lutheran is expensive but I can advocate for those parents that thus far it is well worth it. Safety is the number one priority of my child and Hales Corners meets my expectations. All the teachers provided group and individual learning, both science and faith based. There are numerous activities available for children of all ages and my son gets to interact with kids his own age as well as 8th graders. Teachers and staff were always available for questions and assistance and were pleasant about it. Mrs. H/Mrs. Ellis in PS2, Mrs Strohmeyer/Mrs. Morrison in PS2, Amy in administration, and Pastor Chad have all exceeded my expectations to the point my son appreciates school, wants to go, and is eager to learn. As I have another to put into school soon, I questioned finances, like many parents will. Thankfully HCL does offer grants, scholarships, and financial aid. I have not heard whether my family will be the beneficiary of any benefits yet, but regardless, my return to faith, my brain, and my heart tell me that Hales Corners Lutheran is the place I want my children to go. I hope to update this review yearly and keep it at 5 stars!! Additionally, Hales Corners Lutheran Church has made my family return to faith after a long hiatus from the catholic church. Services, messages, pastors, and every single individual involved with the church has been nothing short of friendly and accommodating with any questions or opportunity for involvement. Gone are the days of doom and gloom from my youth upbringing in religion and a new era of positivity has emerged."
"Best Lutheran church I have attended. You can feel the holy spirit. Great praise and worship."
"Hales Corners what do I have to say at this point? My son is always bullied, and the teachers do nothing! Terrible choice of school! Do not send your child here, it was a huge mistake and a huge waste of money!"
"My wife, my son and his wife and my 2 grand kids was in attendance at the 11:00 am service on 8/20. Th e sermon and the music was very good. The only problem not one person even greeted us or even talked to us. The last time we were there, some members and even the Pastor talked to us. Nobody greeted us or even received a bulletin for the service this time. My wife and I belong to the Lutheran Church in Waxahachie, TX. My wife and I were trying to get my Son, his wife and Grand kids to think about joining but it will be harder to do now."
