"I recently did an overnight spa retreat here with a few friends and enjoyed my stay. The hotel itself is full of history with tons of amazing details throughout. The staff were amazing from the moment I arrived, from taking my bags and putting them in my room, to the turndown service in the evening. My overall stay was great and I truly enjoyed everything. My one feedback is that the rooms are a little dated. If you are ever in the area or are looking for a great stay, definitely check out this resort."

"Everything here is exceptional, every need is met with top notch rooms. Shuttle bus to anywhere on property, Immigrant room and Wisconsin room for dining. Horse and Plow is adjacent to this hotel. Beautiful grounds. Don’t forget the wine cellar!"

"Everything about our stay at The American Club has been fantastic. The food is great, the staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel rooms are spacious, there are plenty of activities both indoors and outdoors, and the spa is enjoyable. Attention to detail is high everywhere I look."

"We travel quite a lot and this hands down has been the best hotel we have ever stayed out. The rooms and service was impeccable. The details were amazing and nothing was missed, ever. The staff was just absolutely phenomenal and the grounds were stunning. We were part of a large group that was staying there in Riverbend and at The American Club. We had a suite and the tub and rooms was amazing. The turn down service at night was a sweet surprise and we loved everything that they provided for us. The slippers, chocolate, etc. We can’t wait to return, we are hoping in Spring or Summer (we are from Fl) but we are also excited because they penciled in the next two years for shareholder meetings there. Can not wait!"

"Stayed the weekend of November 18. Were told by the "existing reservations" call center, that check in was 4 pm and that we'd have to find parking where ever we could. We had to take a shuttle bus from a nearby shopping center to the hotel, leaving our vehicle and luggage behind. Got to the front desk: "oh no, you can check in immediately and we have valet parking for hotel guests." So had to take the shuttle bus back to the shopping center and retrieve our vehicle. Highly inconvenient and definitely not "5 star." Sunday 6 am. Wakened by a clanging bell. So then we're up. Got ready for the day, packed, then by 9 am, we wanted breakfast. Tried to call the Wisconsin Room to change breakfast reservation from 11 am. No one picked up. Had to walk down there, restaurant about 80% empty, told they had no waitstaff to accommodate an earlier breakfast. Told to call room service. We we knew that if we called room service (with limited options and high prices,) that food would not arrive for an hour or more. No other place for breakfast before 11 am in this 5 star hotel. Checked out, went to another restaurant on the way out of town. Unless you are on an expense account junket, not recommended. Seems they are short of staff and services."
