Reviews of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist
"Amazing, couldn’t ask for a better funeral venue. Nice art and history."
"The heart of the Roman Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. It is not only a historical treasure but a spiritual vessel. The renovations a couple decades ago came with some controversy but it is a beautiful place of worship regardless."
"We had the pleasure of celebrating mass with one of the auxiliary Bishops. He spent a lot of time outside, after the mass, talking with people. Such a beautiful cathedral."
"A beautiful Church to visit on Cathedral Square in Milwaukee. We didn't attend Mass but we were able to look around. There are many artifacts in a room on the side and it has the most unusual and beautiful crucifix hanging above the altar Ive ever seen. Has absolutely gorgeous grounds and Gardens. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit."
"Beautiful church inside and out. I’ve been here for my cousins wedding and a recent choir concert. The wedding was beautiful and so was the choir performance. My only gripe about the Church is the set up and acoustics. There is a front alter and a back alter. The seating makes it hard to see and/or hear from both areas. I’m sure it serves some purpose to have the two areas separated, but I still have a hard time hearing and seeing; depending on which area I’m sitting and where the sound is coming from. The organ is powerful and could blast out the windows, so no trouble there."
