"Just facts and no personal judgement here. I bought a brand new surfboard with good accessories (total 1000$ ish). The traction pad Octopus (50$) actually broke after the first sesh (issue with the setup?) and the surf shop rudely told me they can’t do anything. I am very disappointed because they don’t even suggest a little commercial gesture for a local surfer who just spent 1G$. I would have preferred to spend my money somewhere else with a better customers service... Unfortunately I can’t recommend this place for buying a surfboard or anything expensive."

"Wish I could be positive but we had a REALLY disappointing experience. My 12 year old son had saved enough money (birthday, Christmas, washing cars) to buy is first fiberglass board. A very knowledgeable sales person helped us pick out a board. He told us that we would get 20% off the board and any other item we put on the same ticket - both my son and I heard it clear and loud. We put the board on hold for the day because my son wanted to think about this big purchase. Later the same day after my son was sure this was the board he wanted to spend his money on we came back to buy the board and added fins and traction pad to the purchase. When we checked out the ticket was higher than we expected and I asked if the promised 20% was included. I was informed that the discount was only for accessories - not the board. I explained that the sales person had clearly stated that it was for the board. The manager said that the sales person had spoken to her but that they couldn’t give this discount. We left. This is how I see it: A discount was promised to a 12 year old who was incredibly excited about his big purchase. When it came to actually checking out it seems like the store was counting on us being so emotionally involved that we were going to pay full price anyway. Shame on you - you made a 12 year old be in tears and more disappointed that I have ever seen him."

"Went to a few of the nearby surf shops today in search of a new bodyboard, and almost gave up & then I came across JACKS and to be honest, this is by far the best one. Great selection, prices weren't that bad compared to the other stores nearby, & excellent customer service. Will definitely be back to check out the rest of the store."
