Reviews
"Fantastic service and great work! I will gladly bring our bikes here for service work going forward."
"John, the proprietor, is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Very experienced and knowledgeable as well."
"John is a stand up guy. He waited past closing time so that my 7 year old could pick up his new bike. Then as usual, he went the extra mile to adjust the bike to my son's needs. He readjusted the brake grips, brakes, seat, and even the reflector to ensure it was perfect. I am grateful to still have a "real deal" bike shop to go to!"
"Buyer beware: Stopped in for a simple tire repair, and was berated and sworn at by the owner for not having purchased my bike from his store. He gets one star only because he did take care of my tire. I almost always support the local guys first but will not waste my time in this store. Nor should you. Way better service experiences to be had at any one of the twenty plus bike shops in Madison."
"I brought in my old, 90s-era mountain bike for a much needed overhaul, and after totaling up everything that needed to be done the owner pointed out that he had better bikes for sale at nearly the same amount as the repairs would take. I should note that in 16 years, after many miles of abuse, I had never done any maintenance to my old bike, so it essentially needed a pretty serious overhaul including new cables, brakes, new seat and grips, new cassette and a bunch of other things. I appreciated how honest the guy was about the costs and the quality of my old bike, and bought a used bike from him on the spot. The new bike is much better than my old one, and overall the experience was great. The owner obviously knows bikes like the back of his hand. His prices for bikes and for repairs compare very favorably with rates at the bigger Madison shops, and the location is a lot more convenient for many of us."
