Reviews of Badger Gun Inc
"I would recommend no minority goes to this place. They judge you right at the door and talk to you as if your a child. Not everyone is a criminal and I really do hope they start running better service then the bullshit service they offer now. Never felt more discriminated against in my whole entire life."
"I went here today, looking for advice for my first pistol. One thing that was immediately shown is that to do some things you must be a member of the club ($25 a year), which comes with great benefits. The guy I talked to was very helpful and talked me through some classes they offer along with the benefits of being a member. He also showed me the pistols that they rent, along with basics of breaking down a Glock. I'll be back, was a great, clean place and very helpful people throughout."
"I went to Badger with a pretty good idea of what I wanted, but needed to narrow down my choices to one rifle and one handgun that met my fairly specific requirements. I had to help put meat on the table as a kid, had spent several years in the military, and have considerable experience with firearms of all types, from muzzle loaders to full auto 50 cal's. I always scored "Expert" in the military, and can generally hit anything within a couple of "clicks" with the right weapon. Being relatively new to the area, I checked out Badger, rather than drive out of the area for what I wanted. Badger appears to have a nice selection of handguns, though their selection of rifles and shotguns leaves a bit to be desired. I guess that's to be expected when "shopping" in an urban area, where hunting is probably less a priority compared to home security and personal protection. Prices seemed fair to downright competitive, though ammo was a little high. I guess someone has to pay for getting it to the store, and deisel prices are ridiculous right now. Unfortunately, I had the misfortune of dealing with a sales clerk with a political agenda, who insisted on hitting on me while talking to my breasts. I mean, c'mon, I'm a half century old, and definitely not all that! And if I wanted to attend an anti-union political rally, I would have. In a gun shop, you can talk to me all you want about firearms safety, supporting my 2nd Amendment rights, and the latest in firearms technology, and I'll hang on your every word, and expect that in any firearms retailer. I have no idea if the sales clerk was actually knowledgable or not about his products, he was too busy trying to sell his political agenda to my chest. When I was shown a handgun, after repeatedly stating my requirements, I was shown this tiny little .22 that looked like it couldn't stop a housefly from enetering my apartment, not something I found appropriate for personal protection. I guess the sales clerk thought my chest couldn't handle anything with a bit more stopping power. The next was a .38 revolver, and I thought I was pretty specific about wanting a semi-auto. I finally left, telling the sales clerk I had to rethink my requirements for a bit before purchasing. I probably won't return, at least not anytime soon, because I really don't want to spend money someplace where the sales personnel go out of their way to be offensive or ram some irrelevant political agenda down my throat. Kind of hard to resist those prices, though, and from what I could tell the range is perfect for my needs. Maybe the management will read the reviews and either curb their employee's behavior or tell them to seek employment elsewhere."
"I have bought shotguns, long guns and rifles from Badger over the last 20+ years. I have ALWAYS had good service and they always had the best price. If I wanted something that they didn't stock, they would special order it, bring it in and give me the option to purchase it once I was able to hande the firearm. No other store gives this kind of service."
"I went to Badger Ammo today with a friend to shoot my sig 9mm at their range. I had recently gone to the shooter shop to look around, and was going to go back to use the range there, but badger ammo was in closer proximity to my buddy's home. Upon entering Badger Ammo, it is much bigger than the shooter shop, and has many more gun accessories, as well as what appears to be more guns. Prices seemed comparable if not cheaper to those at the shooter shop. In fact, they had a Sig p226 9mm new, just like mine, for 30 dollars cheaper than cabellas price, but it came with 2 fewer magazines. The range cost the two of us 30 dollars total for the hour, was not crowded, and ammo was 1 dollar cheaper than shooter shop. They checked my ammo that i brought in and approved it for their range, so i didn't have to buy their ammo. One cool thing is that they had guns for rent to shoot in their range posted on the wall for you to see. it is 10 bucks to rent a gun for the hour, but you have to buy their ammo to shoot their guns. However, you can switch guns during the hour that you are renting at no additional charge. Overall my experience at Badger Ammo was very pleasant, and I would recommend the trip to anyone in the milwaukee area."
