"I chose to have my wedding at The Dousman House and am so happy I did! The location of the venue is absolutely perfect, with the most beautiful view of the Mississippi River. We had our ceremony outside on the veranda and had the most beautiful view. The venue did an AMAZING job landscaping and the hydrangeas looked perfect, I love that we got such a beautiful background for our photos! We had 500 guests at our reception and the large space was so fitting and accommodating to everybody! The food choices and buffet were amazing and the The Barn Restaurant did exquisite! The waitstaff made everything flow so easily and even with our large party, everybody got through the buffet line in 30 minutes! With our large crowd, and heavy drinkers the bartenders were on top of it and did an amazing job also!! They ordered in our favorite champagne for the event and we were so thankful to be able to have that for our families, toasts, and for the girls to get ready with!! The set up was very easy and they worked around our time frame to allow us into the venue at times that worked best for us! The bridal suite made getting ready for the girls a breeze and we had a private place to fix our hair and make up throughout the entire day and night. They had a refrigerator that they allowed us to keep our cake and cupcakes in which was a relief to not have to worry about those details the day of our wedding!! They had everything ready for us on Friday so all we had to do was bring in our flowers and centerpieces! They made every detail of our wedding so easy and made our planning very minimal which saved us from stressing out about the little details! Our pictures turned out so beautifully and I am so thankful for everything! I give the Dousman House a 12/10 for helping me to have the perfect day and the wedding of my dreams!! I could not be happier with the staff and overall venue! :)"
