"12/22/2023: Not easy to hear about rancid carcasses stinking up the back delivery area. Doesn't make me want to purchase meat, or have it processed, there at all (See additional below). --- Response to Owner on 12/26/2023: Spoke to the Dane County Health Department, the DNR, and the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Protection about this today and learned that what you’re doing, or allowing to be done by being a public drop-off site for deer carcasses from hunters, is acceptable even though it’s not highly recommended when it comes to the stench. Given that, I've moved the star rating from one to three, because you could still care a great deal more about this than your response to my initial review shows (when it comes to the negative impact that having such a repulsive stench so close to your food business has on those who care about their health and well-being and the cleanliness of your establishment). Environment is extremely important in any business, as is one's professionalism in the face of criticism, and hopefully you will learn to appreciate those lessons as you consider whether or not to participate in this carcass collecting program with the DNR in the future. All while reconsidering the closeness of the dumpster to your store and your ability to have it emptied upon request whenever the stink is so overwhelming and detrimental to your image. Yes, you can do that, I asked! I doubt you would want to do business with any food related company that has such horrible smells associated with them, like being at a restaurant next to the toilet or eating while smelling what seems like a sewer. No thanks! You can have that dumpster moved further away, emptied early when needed (like now), and also not put on your property at all in the future if desired. There are options, but it’s up to you to show people what's important to you. Have a blessed rest of the Christmas Season!"

"We were so happy to be able to get our beef processed somewhere! I have countless emails and phone calls into another company that usually does our processing, and while they said I was still on the schedule for September 2022, they never called or showed up. Fast forward to January 2023. Took a chance and called Outdoor Addiction. They said they could get me in on January 21. I asked which year they were referring to and they said 2023. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE! Yes, this was a pricey bill for me, (I processed two fairly large animals) but they excelled in all areas. Quick turn around, they did an excellent job of packaging (I love the labels with the weights on them), and when I had a question on the bill, Kristin was fantastic with the explanation. The beef sticks are fantastic. Glad I added those to the order! As the final thing that I took away from my experience, the owner made a point of complimenting his team. I personally love it when I hear of somebody who loves their job, likes their boss, and/or likes the people they work with. I look forward to working with this group again!"

"I give 5 stars for the taste, but 3 stars for the price. The beef sticks they have taste superior to all the other ones I've tasted. My favorite is the habanero. They have really good summer sausages too. I've ordered from them twice and have never had any problems with shipping or quality. The reason I give it a 4 star is because the price is for them is really high. I would probably order more often, but its really expensive."
