Reviews of The Historic Minnesota Building
"I currently live in this building and I stay away as much as possible! When I came to first tour the building I asked questions about pest and I was told they don’t have those issues but shortly after I moved in I found out that building was infested with roaches when they start showing up in my apartment. I reported it to management and she said that they have been dealing with them for over a year which means I was lied to when I came to look at the apartment. Elevators are always down or only one is working for 13 floors. I’ve continuously been putting in work orders for a year for something that needs to be fixed but it’s still broken. There always an issue with this building and I wouldn’t recommend anyone living here! Stay far away from here."
"I am grateful for these responses. I had a friend who lived inside this Beautiful Decor apartments, had a horrific experience you would think living downtown in such a estabilishment would be grand. Individual who live here are accurate on what they share, how you goin to cover up or make up unless disc your rent, just kno when u leave they are goin to tax you big time, dirty cabinet, debree left on floor, your car get broken into in their garqge next door u dont get compensate nor a compassion call u pay $125.00 month as a tenant they tell you should be insured, just petty mess frm mgmnt the list goes on, she left 4yrs ago, still issues wow, says alot on how this property is ran, with high turn over mgmnt how can you get balance in the office. It like running water the communication was lack alwqys when it came to paying her rent to get a receipt, drop in the box, they have on her ledger rent is late, then they going to put late charges when she paid on time from her stub, well. That tenant was not treat as human being! If I could have gave no star and post I would!"
"Love living here but had nonstop construction out my window for 5 years . Left me with heart condition. Lack sleep constant construction. Was bad 7 days a week. Elevators here break down alot. Packages alway stolen at front door from Fed Ex huge problem. Office no one ever there."
"I do not live here, but I have called several times for the past couple of weeks for a tour. Additionally, I have never gotten any responses back from my voicemails I left behind and no answers every time I have called. I probably already know how bad my experience may look like already if I even ended up here. Thanks to those reviews below me with previous experiences as well. I won’t have to worry about trying so hard to move here. Pros: I really like the view and size of the floor plans and its pricing. Cons: management never gets back to you. You may struggle alone with assistant."
"Rented here for four years. Building itself should be enough to scare you away but here's what I experienced from management and staff over the course of my stay. (I note that staff changed again near the end of my stay and my review is only reflective of staff I encountered during my time as a renter.) 1. No responses when leaving voicemail or sending messages. 2. No responses after weeks of trying to get someone to re-sign your lease. 3. No responses after weeks of trying to communicate that your fridge is broken. 4. Less than a day's notice for anything. Inspections, rent increases, etc. 5. False accusations of late fees and failure to provide a ledger when asked. 6. Damaged property from maintenance workers. 7. Constant office closures with no notification to residents And the list goes on. Keep in mind, this review doesn't even touch on the heroin overdoses in the elevators, constant theft and storage locker break-ins, unsafe location, etc. Cheap rent isn't even a reason to live here anymore as prices have been jacked up (with no added benefits to residents). I recommend looking elsewhere or consider moving in with a relative or close friend."
