"We stopped here after spending the day at Split Rock for the Edmund Fitzgerald ceremony. Our party of 3 got the Meatloaf dinner and Turkey dinner. Absolutely delicious!! They say everything is bigger in Texas but I disagree!! The portions were huge!! I took half home for the next day. Someone in Chaska loves you!!"

"I love me some dive dinners, they are truly the diamond in the rough. Took the family to Big Daddy's Burgers while visiting Duluth. The staff and owner were very friendly and all thanked us for our business when leaving. I will say it this way, it was all I expected and everything I did not expect. The burgers were delicious, the fries were more than one human could or should consume. The five of us ate until we could not eat another bit and no joke, left like 2.5 pounds of fries between us to be thrown out. I appreciate hearty portions but this might be overkill. So why a three star versus five, well the place felt like a hallway stuffed with tables and the fries are home cut (which is fine) but they were soft and soggy. I would suggest less fries and cooked longer in the deep fryer so they crisped up a bit. Like I said, the staff was great, burgers were great but the ambiance and fries were so so."
