"I like it here very much. Been here 8+ years. Almost moved out last year!! And realized I was was giving up a place where I feel safe, where the staff all response quickly to my needs. It's spacious with lots of closets and cupboards."

"We had an ant problem that they never cared about and we had to call them multiple times to get help with anything. Also once we moved out they charged us for everything they could. Be careful signing a lease with them! They don't care about their tenants at all."

"I lived here for 1 year. Pros; the unit was nice, area was ideal, quiet except for the train. It had a washer & dryer! Management was friendly. Requesting maintenance was easy and repairs were quickly addressed. They did a good job with snow removal. We received our security deposit back without issues. Cons; Management put us in a more expensive unit then promised. We had to repack and move to the other side of the complex a day after unpacking. This was especially trying since we had just traveled 4 days across country with 2 small children. Our unit had animal hair all over and my baby was allergic. Management hit our vehicle in the parking lot with their golf cart, causing damage and did nothing about it. Maintaince entered my unit as I exited the shower even tho I yelled, "just a minute". My downstairs neighbor never picked up her dog poop and my kids were unable to play outside because of it. LOTS of spiders."

"I lived at these apartments, anyone who reads these reviews especially the negatives. Take it as is!! You do not want to rent from Lamplighter or Northern Management. The older manager will be the one to be nice and tell you everything you want to hear, promise things that will never happen. Sure they will take you in for your money, especially when you pay 7 months in advance along with nailing you for unbelievable dog rent. I got an apartment that had prior tenant who's dog peed everywhere and the smell came more prominent when hot weather came. Yes I have dogs but in no way did I deserve to live in a smell that would make you want to sleep outside. I too own dogs but did not deserve to live in past tenants filth. Was told I would get new flooring, never happened, they then had carpets cleaned, not on time either. The floors were so wet with chemical's, which the carpet man left a bottle behind, and they're definitely not pet safe. Nor are the chemical's used outside during spring summer and fall. Beware! If you love your pets! I this past summer had to live without my living room A/C because they refused to remove the nest. Just keep spraying the nest. Myself and my 2lb Chihuahua we're stung by wasp's. So I could only use bedroom A/C which means my electric bill went up a lot. Don't expect them to reimburse you for their lack of maintenance. Then when you find yourself in a hardship and tell management that you can still pay rent it just will be 2nd week of month. They take copies of your proof as why, but promise you it will not be in your file in the end. Nor the agreement. Then there's the sewer bug's, and lots of them! They come up from every drain, kitchen and bathroom, even shower. If they can get in they will. I lived the last 6 months having to make sure drains were plugged at all times. Straight up disgusting when you go to eat your food and these sick bug's land on your food as you go to put it in your mouth. So you call the main office and because your frustrations are beyond your limits, you tell them your going to call housing authority. And BAM YOU GET EVICTED. Remember the agreement I spoke of, ya they know how to play the system to get you out. Even though you always paid your rent and bills you now have an eviction on your record. Now try to find a place to live, with new laws that only favor the landlord, you will never have a place. I'm out a week before Xmas! I hope one day they get bought out by good people or suffer from no tenants. I will admit I met really great people, especially my new neighbor Casey. I love you and will miss you and Ripley dearly. You are a great friend and I am sure you are not far behind me when it comes to leaving there. On your terms I know for they didn't treat you right either. People if you can stay away from these apartments!"

"My husband and I lived here for 1 year when we first moved to Kaukauna. We looked at a lot of places in the Appleton area and decided here because it was quiet, had a nice view, and was close to the highway. The staff was super helpful when the apartment A/C wasn't working in the middle of summer. When I moved out I received my whole security deposit back--I think as long as you don't damage the apartment you would. I feel bad that there are all of these horrid reviews because everyone there was sweet and my neighbors were awesome."
