Reviews of Wimmer Communities
"I can't say enough about the incredible work environment at Wimmer Communities. From day one, I've felt truly welcomed and engaged in my role. It's clear that this company values its employees and their well-being, and it shows in every aspect of the workplace. The management team here is exceptional. They not only listen to our concerns but also take swift and meaningful action to address them. It's refreshing to work for a company where your voice is not only heard but valued. Their commitment to fostering a positive work environment is wonderful, and it creates a sense of trust and mutual respect that is hard to find elsewhere."
"I have lived here at the Artisan for over two years, the first year was great (when I didn’t have any problems). I would like to begin in saying that the high class living, which one should expect living in an apartment like this, is a façade. I have had several issues with appliances, which turned out to be total nightmares to get solved. The first issue was my stove in its entirety died, and it took a total of 12 days until I was unable to cook anything in my $1700 a month luxury apartment. It took maintenance 4 days to even evaluate the stove to confirm it was beyond repair. It was not until I emailed the manager all the statutes of the WI Landlord tenant code they were in violation of did I get any traction. It was replaced the next day (12 days later). Justifiably, I demanded a rent abatement of $250 and was told “we typically do not give any adjustments during the process of repairs or replacements as we do not know how long things will take.” This took an additional 3 weeks to get sorted out, I had to escalate it to the corporate office after Lori refused to provide their contact information. The second issue was the replacement stove began acting up about 6 weeks later on 5/25. The stove would not hold temperature and continue to climb and would turn itself on randomly. This fire hazard was made aware to the office several times, and once again turned into a nightmare. After a reschedule due to defective parts and a reschedule due to a sick appliance repairman, it was now 7 weeks later July 20th (with no follow up repair date scheduled). I was told “our hands are tied as it is a warranty repair.” Fearing for the wellbeing of the residents due to the fire hazard, I called the Brookfield Fire Marshall to report this hazard, who promptly sent someone out. Then miraculously, my stove was replaced that day (7 weeks later). I escalated to the corporate office to ensure they were aware of the issue, timeline, and how it was handled. I asked for a $500 rent abatement due to the hazard and inconvenience I dealt with for the 7 weeks. I followed up a week later and it was stated the appliance company approved the credit and it would be applied to my account that week. Fast forward 10 days, and I still have no rent credit. I am now forced to pay the $500 (which should have already been credited) to avoid any potential impact to my credit. This has still not been credited to my account, as they “are waiting to receive the check from the appliance supplier.” Overall, I am absolutely disgusted with how every single maintenance issue I had at the Artisan has been handled. The office takes zero responsibility for any issue with claims “it is out of their hands”, “we only have maintenance on Wednesdays”, “we typically do not give any adjustments during the process of repairs or replacements as we do not know how long things will take.” I would proceed with extreme caution and low expectations if you plan on living at the Artisan. Additionally, the office seems to be closed at least one day every work week for seemingly no reason. However, I will say, once I got the corporate office involved, I did actually receive some urgency with my issues, but that should not be necessary. If you have an issue, be prepared for the burden that comes with getting a resolution."
"Tons of activities wonderful places to live Forest Ridge is a great Wimmer Senior Community"
"Where do I start… very unprofessional staff. Workers will walk in on you at any given time… me and my family was there for about a years time and experienced numerous invasions of privacy. The last time was so bad my wife was around the home indecent and had to call the police. Felt very unsafe for a “luxury” apartment living. Not to mention at the end of our lease we went from paying 2K to 3K just to extend for one month… and they admitted they had no one else waiting for our apartment.. then charged us for a complete carpet install throughout the entire home because our children had crayon and marker in them? Even tho we were promised a free carpet cleaning? Overall we were completely dissatisfied and disappointed. This is not a place for families."
"Would be a zero if I could. Don’t waste your time! Go to a Mandel property. My wife and I were trying to get a place for her parents. A short term rental at the Club at Brookfield. The lady Fran that showed the placed was pleasant. That’s were it ends. The leasing person Devan is just a hot mess. Disrespectful and lacks common sense. I even reached out to one of the managers named Becky. No email or call back. Went to the Mandel group, and toured, and then secured a place from them in less than 24 hours."
