"I just recently moved out in August of 2023 after living there for two years. We loved the events, the amenities and the staff were absolutely delightful. There were many things that I quite enjoyed and some things that were not so great. Cons: -Laundry You will have to plan your day around getting your laundry done. In our building there were 3 washers and 3 dryers for 30 units, however 90% of the time I resided there at least one of the machines were out of order. The other residents are not timely and will leave their laundry for hours and hours. Unless you do your laundry at 3 AM, you’ll probably not be able to get to it. Also be prepared to spend $3 dollars for every load you do. -Made up rules. Often the office will send emails about rules regarding the units, saying certain things and decorations are not allowed. However, when reading the lease, these items are not listed as being not allowed, and more than likely it’s just because another person complained to the office. Make sure you keep and read your lease, because they have done this several times. -Money The units themselves are lackluster. We paid around $1300 for a nicer two-bedroom unit which for the space is ridiculously EXPENSIVE especially because the appliances are 20 years old. We frequently had problems maintaining the appliances, especially the stove, and the maintenance man even showed us that we had to pinch wires on the inside to get the burner to work correctly. If I am paying for maintenance to help with the appliances, I do not want to have to pinch wires—I’m not an electrician. Furthermore only one of our burners on the stove worked and it would either run cold or WAY too hot, so if you need to set your burner to a specific heat, you’re SOL. There were several days where we had to pick up food because our stove just didn’t work, and they never would replace it despite notes in our maintenance requests. Our fridge leaked constantly (which may or may not have been water and coolant) and repairs didn’t fix it ever, it just continued to leak. The stove, microwave and fridge were serial marked from 2003, and another tenant who has lived in the building the entirety that it has been around reported he still has the original appliances that they refuse to replace. The Meadows make AT LEAST half a million dollars per every rent period, this should be a no brainer to fix, and will cut costs way down on their end. Up to boot, the leasing office claimed that they had to tear out our carpets due to pet urine, however this is frankly untrue. We’ve had our cat for more than 6 years and he has never peed inappropriately on the carpet, and we have a litter box that lets us know when they urinate and how many times per day (We track that because our kitty has kidney problems) and there were never signs that he peed outside of the box – no scent, no stain, NOTHING. However, they did let us know that the carpets had depreciated down to the point where they would need to be replaced during the next tenant’s lease, and in the middle of the lease to boot. So, it seems to me that they made up a bogus claim to get money for the carpets that already needed to be replaced in the next coming months. On top of that they took 2 months to get us the invoice we still owed, more than a week to get us the requested photos of the damage done, and another week to reply to us challenging the claim, but quick to follow up on when we would pay the remaining fee. I don’t work in the rental field, and cannot speak what goes on behind the scenes, but I would expect them to have the same patience with us as we gather the funds as we did with them (especially because it was 3 days from the time we last corresponded asking how to pay) -Snow plowing and snow care. The request that you move your cars within 24 hours, or you will get towed because they need to plow, however they plow the spots in regardless. All in all it I enjoyed the time I was there and I'll have the memories that we made in the unit forever, but there was a lot that would deter me from coming back."

"Great place to stay with family and kids. Safe and sound to roam within society late in night. Was there for 3 years and never had issues. Maintenance requests were timely done and leasing office staffs are hospitable. We were able to extend month by month for 8 months during COVID time due to uncertainty with Job and Lorry was really helpful to accommodate our requests. Good nearby places for shopping in walkable distance. We moved to Kansas now but still miss Meadows time and friends overs there."

"Great apartments! The maintenance and leasing office is extremely responsive and friendly. They send out emails well in advance if anything is going to be closed/updated/happening. The public areas including laundry, hallways, pool, and clubhouse are so clean and well maintained. They are very dog friendly and there's so many cute pups around! The units themselves are a bit dated, but I feel like the pricing of the units is extremely fair. Also a really great neighborhood where you will feel safe, and everything you could need is conveniently located."

"On one of the coldest days on record, my heat stopped working. I had someone come by a few days prior, when it first became an issue. He covered up my air conditioning unit and locked my bedroom window. I couldn't feel any heat coming from my vents. It was an AWFUL week because I could barely stay in my own apartment! Needless to say, this place is extremely outdated, and you pay too much for what it is. Also, plan on spending at least $20 on mouse traps."

"Stayed there for around 1.5 years. This was the very first place I called home in US. Ours was a 2bed 2 bath corner apartment with a decent balcony facing the east. Apt 212 in building 2414. The amount of natural light it received was enough to keep the bulbs off till it got completely dark outside. We had two walk in closets and one coat closet within the apartment and a separate storage room in the basement. Our building had 3 washers and driers and it was never a problem finding one or two when needed. The only issue is AC being only in the living room which makes it a bit of a hassle in extreme summers. But it’s manageable. In management Karen and Debbie have always been very supportive be it anything. We never had any issues w.r.t maintenance. Any request made was taken care of within hours. Craig and Mark always made it a point to listen to our concerns and fix the issue as soon as possible. Parking is ample. Never ever struggled for it. Lawns are lush green and clean. Pet owners take care of cleanliness while taking their pets for a stroll. They have got 6 tennis courts that are very well maintained along with two heated swimming pools. Snow is dealt with extreme professionalism. Meadows holds events quite often that encourages interaction between residents. The food is great too! Our move out process was a cake walk unlike other places. All in all our stay there was peaceful and happy! Thank you Meadows! I"
