Sea Otter Swim Lessons, located at 6151 Brace Road in Loomis, California, offers a variety of swim lesson options for children and adults. With sessions available throughout the year, including Session 6 from May 7th -17th, Session 8 from June 4th - 14th, and Session 10 from July 9th - 19th, there are plenty of opportunities to improve swimming skills.
Our two-week sessions consist of 8 lessons, with classes held Tuesday-Friday. With flexible class times available from 9am to 8pm, there is a convenient option for everyone. Payment is required at the time of registration, and in-house credit is provided for cancellations with at least 2 weeks notice.
Private swim lessons offer individualized attention, allowing swimmers to learn quickly and safely. Our instructors are dedicated to creating a safe and encouraging environment for all swimmers, helping them achieve their goals. Parent Tot lessons provide a fun bonding experience for parents and infants in the pool, while semi-private lessons focus on cooperation and teamwork.
Our adaptive swim program caters to individuals with special needs, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn how to be safer in and around the water. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve competitive strokes, Sea Otter Swim Lessons has a class for you. "I bought a Groupon for my children and had a great experience initially with scheduling. I promptly filled out the paperwork and waivers needed prior to starting lessons. When the day of our first lesson showed up, we arrived a few minutes early, checked in at the office. We were told to wait and that our instructor would "come find us." We waited for a while and by this time, our 30 minute lesson should have already started ten minutes prior. We went back into the office and asked if the lesson with our assigned coach would still be taking place. We were told our lesson would start soon and to go back by the pool and wait for our instructor. After waiting (until the time I our lesson was scheduled to end), we returned to the office and let them know that we would like a refund and that we would not be pursing lessons with them further. We were told that their "new software system is having some issues that are preventing teachers from seeing their schedules correctly." I completely understand that these types of things can happen, however we interacted with the office staff multiple times throughout the time we were supposed to be having the swim lesson and no one alerted our coach or explained to us what the issue was or that they could reschedule the lesson. They did follow-up and assist with Groupon giving us a refund since we did not receive any of what we had paid for. We were very excited to begin lessons here and were hoping for a much different experience."
"My kids have been on Sea Otter swim for about 6 months. The progress has been incredible!!! I am thrilled with how customizable and consistent they are, irregardless of instructor. When instructors leave or fill in, I don’t feel like the quality of the lesson is compromised at all! Highly recommend!"
"Little man's first time he was the youngest in the class. They mostly focused on safety roles and getting them to turn onto their backs if the fall in the water. Great experience would recommend."
"Docking points for overall scheduling/ cancellation of lessons and not being able to reschedule with ease. You are locked in to a day and time which is great until the teacher cancels or quits and than you cannot reschedule at all. You get marked as a "credit" to rollover onto another day or the fee will be deducted the following month. My child has gone through about 5 teachers in 3 months. Teachers quit and you lose that day and time forever because they have no back ups. No wonder the instructors are quitting left and right. Extremely frustrated with the lack of subs available and non flexibility with rescheduling. If you call and leave a message, nobody will acknowledge they got it. You just have to "hope" they listened to it. Will be looking into going somewhere else 100%. Gave it 3 months and over $600. No thank you."
