"Our son since he was 3 we knew he had learning differences in processing information and with attention. We have always been an advocate of early intervention, support services etc. As he started progressing to first grade and second grade and beginning third grade we noticed that despite weekend tutoring and speech services, us sitting down every night doing reading and homework and an iep plan, he was falling further and further behind. The school was pushing us to put him in special education at another school. Being how he was socially thriving, loved his current school and motivated to put in the hard work to stay, we pushed for him to stay and modify his iep plan more. Outside of that I was starting to look into other services to help him. I came across Education Enrichment Services from google and looked at their page and spoke with Carri. From the first conversation, I loved what the program was about. Really pulling back and providing help at the source of his learning difference. Not putting a bandaid and just getting him through current work. Also making adjustments along the way on areas to focus or even being set up with a different tutor for a different type of teaching style. He started the program oct 2021. He was assessed at kindergarten/early first grade reading when he was in third grade. He also struggled with math. So he was severely behind. So he basically had to start over and rebuild his educational foundation. So aside from doing his homework he was doing 6 hours a week of tutoring to help bring him up to speed. This program is not a quick fix. We were still having consistent meetings with the school and teacher and Carri was kind enough to join in those meetings to help advocate for our son and make sure everyone was on the same page with what he was doing in school and in the program. But every 90 day assessment he was improving. And it probably took a good year till we saw the progression translate in the classroom. Trust the process. It’s hard work, and a commitment from my son and us as parents. Our son had to sacrifice some time in starting his school work later or even some weekends and hours in the summer because of his sessions with the tutor. But he knew this was all to help him and we were there to keep encouraging on those early days he didn’t want to do it. It was one of the best decisions we could have made for his education, self confidence and work ethic. We will be forever grateful to this program. He is thriving still socially but now academically, yes he still needs help, he still has his iep but he’s contributing and participating in the classroom and is not several grades behind anymore. He is showing he deserves a seat at the table like all the other kids. Homework used to be super painful for him and us. But now he’s able to do on his own and if he needs help he advocates for himself in the classroom. We don’t know what continued support he will need in the future or when. He’s finishing up 4th grade now and we plan to give him a break for the summer and see how he does the first part of the next school year and reassess around October. We want to see if he can use what he’s learned from everyone and give him a chance to see how he does on his own. What we’ve learned through this whole process is that there is a way. There is help. This program is amazing. The tutors are all amazing. Melissa who helps schedule our sons sessions is amazing. If we need to reach out to Carri next school year to come up with a game plan and talk about starting support services again, we will. We are definitely open and happy we have Education Enrichment Services as a resource."
"I was referred to EES by parents from my son’s lacrosse team. They had great results and highly recommend the program. I started both of my boys at ages 15 & 11 because they were both struggling a little in 5th and 8th grade with homework, missing assignments, time management etc. This was causing them to feel defeated and frustrated. Now, both of my boys are more confident with their school work and are getting better grades overall. I am very pleased with the tutors, the assessment process and with Carrie Dunning the Director. My kids love going to tutoring and even after taking a few months off due to heavy school and sports schedules, they have both asked to re-start. They have also both stated that they learned more during tutoring then in school. I highly recommend this program for anyone with kids who are struggling with homework or grades."
"When our son started first grade he had only mastered the sounds of letters and was having trouble blending the sounds to form words. He was starting to get frustrated and I was worried. Having used EES before with my older son who had amazing results, I called Carrie. She immediately put me at ease and said “ we got this, Danielle”. He is doing great now and is feeling confident and smart!"
"The past three years with Educational Enrichment Services have been incredible for my daughter. Emma is a bright girl on the autism spectrum, and EES has been essential to her success in a general education setting. The one-on-one tutoring has built her knowledge base, improved her focus and cooperation, and increased her academic productivity. The experienced tutors and customized content have kept her engaged and challenged. Regular progress reviews and planning discussions with Carri, my husband, and me have informed changes to Emma’s program as her skills have moved forward. I don’t know of any other educational provider that could have supported Emma the way EES has."
"I highly recommend EES! My daughter thrived from the 1 on 1 tutoring provided by EES. She LOVED her tutor, Ms Wendy, and was excited to begin each session with her. After her initial assessment, the tutoring program was custom tailored to address my daughter's specific needs. Their approach is very academic and every step of the way is tracked. Reviews are held in person on a quarterly basis and I loved the VERY detailed reports provided which allowed me to easily see my daughter's progress."
