"In IB it all about time management, if you can manage your time wisely, you're screwed. But the teachers cant care less about the passport students. There are fights every week and even drug deals in the halls. It's a good school if your in IB, and the IB teachers are good, but other than that, its hecka sketch"
"Great school i have been here since 6th grade and now I'm about to graduate the 8th grade. I had an amazing experience at this school. The work at this school can be really difficult some times. I still don't get why they have passport and IB they shouldn't separate the kids based on how smart they are. Some of the teachers can be very rude and disrespectful to the students when they don't do anything. The teachers tend to act like the students parents when they aren't."
"In my opinion, a great school. The new buildings that have been recently built are fabulous as a learning environment for students. However, the kids there are not all that polite. There is a lot of cussing, verbal combat, etc. but as a student, my advice would be, if you want to avoid this, find friends who don't engage in said activities. Mostly, the teachers are nice and understanding, but I feel the school is very IB-centric. Still, I feel it is a great school overall, and many of the reviews for this school seem very untrue, such as "They arrest 5 people every day". Like I mentioned earlier, this is a great school (at least, from my perspective as a student enrolled in the IB program), and if you make the right friends, your learning experience will be stellar. I also wanted to point out there are many harsh reviews against the teachers, but from my experience, the students who behaved nicely and did all their work in a timely, orderly fashion were respected by any teacher."
"Terrible School. My daughter is in IB and its been nothing but trouble from day one. Ms. Baum, the Vice Principal, is about the worst employee in the district and definitely goes out of her way to protect the bullies at the school. Offering excuse after excuse about why its not their fault, meanwhile good students simply live in fear. A day after the Connecticut massacre, some kids apparently vandalized the school with a hammer, but instead of telling parents about it they deemed it to be not important. My daughters teacher even joked that the holes were bullet holes, so that was all the information we had to go on. Very inconsiderate and unprofessional. IB or not, my daughters going to a different school next year. These people simply just don't give a damn and I cannot trust them AT ALL with the safety of my child. By the way, the teachers in the IB program are actually pretty good...when I said "terrible school" I meant the people RUNNING the place. Updated just to point out that this school is still garbage. Can't wait for John Adams Academy to accept our application..."
"I thought this school was excellent. Sure, not all the students have a perfect record or a clean mouth, but for the most part, it doesn't seem to effect me. I think it would be an exaggeration to say that sixty percent of the school smokes weed, or that they arrest five people a week. And for the most part, the teachers are good, even if they're easily agitated."
